Slow mover

I was disappointed in the slow moving plot. The narration also seemed to overplay emotions or attitudes at times.

Very hard read for tying together

Could of used chapters unsteady of different books to follow characters. very very hard to follow.

The good bad and ugly

too much cooinstadance throughout the story. Father was unbelieveable character for such nice daughters and mother.

Not Impressed

the first 2 books were good. the readers are HORRIBLE. after the 2nd book it got rather whiney and you never find out what caused the issue., Odd disconnected story line. Not a series I will revisit did not care for.

Ugh

I made it halfway through the book and I have to admit that the last quarter of what I made it through I forced myself to listen to. I can't really tell you whether the storyline is good or not because the narration sucks. everybody has the same snide or downtrodden or angry voice, no depth.

Solid storyline

Good character development. Badass chick's (girl power). Solid storyline. A bit predictable, but entertaining. Excellent narration.

this is drama not post apocalypse

if you like pure drama between people then this is a ok book but if you wanted a post apocalypse book it falls very short. I'm pretty sure the author got their information on preppers from CNN. the main characters know almost nothing about survival and refuse to admit a EMP happened, the entire cast has a severe case of normalcy bias and all the way to the end of the book they talk about the power coming on.

More realistic!

Would have loved another couple books just to know what happened next to all the different characters as they tried to get back to some kind of normal life.

The whole end of day series 

Just finished listening to all of them absolutely love them big fan of the post apocalyptic books so so far one of the best ones I’ve read specially, since it takes place in my home state everywhere you were talking about I knew exactly where you were and it made me get more connected to the books.

Excellent series

Sam Fires developed a very detailed and nuanced world post apocalypse. It is at time stark and somewhat disturbing but also realistic and with threads of hope for humanity
