EMP

this was one of the better EMP books I've read. the narrator was really good. these are not stand alone books and you need to listen to all six.

Minimal tech word

A little slow in the beginning, but developed well in the end. Would have liked some more clever solutions to problems like wagons could easily have been made from stripped down vehicles. These would have shock absorption, steering, and brakes. Readily available.

pleasantly surprised ?

I have read dozens and dozens of post apocalyptic and prepper books. Almost every book in my extensive Audible library involve EMP, mass solar flair ejection, or a nuclear suitcase bomb attack.
This latest book I have just read was a whole different scenario than all of my other books. Needless to say, it did keep the storyline interesting to listen too.
This book had a lot more emotional aspect of each character as the storyline went from book to book. I am not used to the continued chapters to this degree. But as I kept listening, I actually started to find it pleasant change of all the killing and violent scenarios in most of all my other SHTF book.
Kudos to the narrator.
I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Pierce, but the narrator for this book was most excellent. Both male and female voice overs. I got the entire series 6 books for a mere $7.99. It was a steal. : ) a recommended read.

Great characters and story. I sometimes lose steam a few books into a series but didn't stop as each book kept me engaged.

Reality

I thought how close to the truth this really was. You don’t really know about anything until it happens to you. I thought this was a very good read.

Can't wait to read more by this author!

I got so caught up in the storyline I never wanted to hit pause. I was so emotionally invested in the characters I was sad to reach the end. I can't wait to hear more from this author.

Great book, worth the listen for sure! Wish it was a little stronger at the end but it was very good!

Suspenseful

Keeps you on the edge of your seat and gives you a glimpse of chaos after the world experiences major climate change after a gamma ray burst, that changes life on earth dramatically and how human natures will to survive is a driving force behind every choice each person makes.

The honor

The characters were very easy to get the know and respect. But the evil that lurks on the fringes of society are released from fear of prosecution. Those characters are much more terrifying.
