Great Story Despite Narration

Very important story but needed a different narrator. Preferably a Latino with Navy knowledge. The Spanish was meh, but the military jargon pronunciations were unbearable.

I felt connected and encouraged

Loved this book my son is in Juvi and this book encouraged me to fight the fight with my son. He enjoyed the book as well and will be starting a book club in July 2024. Thank you!

Originality

The story was great, I wish the book was a little longer lol. But what I didn't care for was the nerarator, I think they could have gotten someone to pronounce some of the words better. Other than that. 10/10

Amazing

Inspiring story about a person that came from the bottom to rebuilt himself and prosper for a better life.

Raw, real, captivating and inspiring

I read the book last year and i've been waiting for it to launch on Audible. It was a treat to listen to the audio and hear the story. Ramos didn't amazing job articulating the key elements of his story, it is trully enthralling. I've read it, i've listened to it and hopefully this turns into a movie so I can watch it too.

This book made me realize that faith, drive and belief can make you overcome all adversities in life regardless of where you come from.

It was real, About his life growing up the way he did and then changing for his daughter. Going into the service. I volunteer with foster kids. I would recommend all young adults, teens to read this book.

This was an outstanding book, and a triumphant accounting on this young man’s life. Look forward to see what he does, in the future to help the youth at risk youth of our country.

The narrator butchers the Spanish, slang, and military jargon. The story itself is great.

The author and his story are very inspiring, I don’t really like to read and this book had my attention the entire time. I found him on social media due to my own military background. The narrator of this book should have been a person of Latino/Spanish speaking and military background. To be able to better read this story to an audience. It was really frustrating to hear the narrator butcher of lot of this story by mispronouncing most if not all of the Spanish and slang terms. Let a lone the military jargon he didn’t understand or pronounce properly either.
