The Twists
I loved that the book brought awareness to domestic violence and showed the signs you should look for. I believe that the book brings hope to victims in those types of situations.

Narrator gets it wrong
I think if this wasn’t narrated in such an “innocent” voice it would have been more emotional. The way they portray Sawyer from Ella’s POV is lame. I think if this were narrated differently I would have liked it a lot more

THE TWIST!!
I will preface this by saying I’m an adult woman and normally I do not read YA anything. However, the book came highly recommended. The pacing of the story was perfect. I have ADHD and will skim if an author gets lost in the details. I prefer listening to books with dual narration and the narrators were perfect. For the most part it was a bit predictable but the twist at the end came out of left field! I can’t wait to read more from the author!

Amazing Debut Novel
I was utterly gobsmacked at this fantastic debut novel. Sloan manages to do it in a way that brings light to really heavy topics and has a world of characters so fleshed out that they feel 100% real. Don’t even get me started on the surprises in this book that will leave you shrieking! Fantastic read!!
