When children start disappearing questions sprout about a ravaging blood mage. Haywood must master the agricultural magic of the Triune Divine to help protect himself and those he loves. He'll have to push the limits of his training and risk his life if he wants to save the girl he is beginning to love. Will Haywood begin cultivating power or will he be cursed by murderous blood magic and lost to history.

Exile's Redemption is an eon spanning epic inspired by the Saga of Recluse by L.E. Modesitt, and books like Magic of Recluse, The Magic Engineer, and The Order War. Video games and RPG stories like Arcanum influenced the struggle between mechanics and magic in this saga.

Terra burgeons with magic. It floods through every home and wilderness across the globe. Metal is scarce; salvaged from ancient devices long since forgotten. Fuel for mechanics is limited to wood charcoal. After a universe wide cataclysm, life resides on a single planet filled with what remains of the universe's diverse races. Humans, and non-human deviations collide with their unique cultural and physiological differences. Join their struggle as the exiles strive to redeem themselves and regain their place in eternity.

Excellent fantasy story, narration is pretty good

I started with middling expectations and they were exceeded. The narrator computer did a great job, only had problems with two areas: 1) Proper names (Family and city) and those were no big deal 2) the only repetitive tic was "breath"instead of "breathe" and vice versa. There were a few others but when compared to earlier generation computer narration, this is a 5 star job. Comparing to a human narrator, I still give it 4 stars out of 5. I couldn't ask for more, really, I'm sure the bugs will get fixed. The voice and accent (or more specifically the lack of accent) were a great match for this content .

The story itself wound quite the tale with tidbits of information sprinkled in the relatively slow start along with a new magic system explained then all put to use in the finale, so very pleasing diversion.
