AMAZING STORY, AWARD-WINNING PERFORMANCE

I don't typically leave reviews, as I never feel qualified, but I cannot post one for this story. Sonja Field's performance is freaking AWARD-WINNING. I mean, how many distinct voices can one woman make?! colour me impressed. But you cannot forget the storyline is one that leaves you wanting to keep reading, always. Do yourself a favour, read this!

Simply amazing

Since the first book in this series, it has taken me only 2 weeks to finish all four! I couldn’t stop listening!!! Love this series as well as the narrator!

Good character development, compelling storyline, creative twists, and overall quite the enjoyable le read.

I am in tears ! Absolute perfection! I love Brenda's books I've bought them all! It's the details and the perspectives. The emotions... River...even the meaning of her name explained. The reader give everyone a voice with emotion and intent. I'm so glad I found Brenda K. ! I hope she reads this...Please continue writing I'll buy them all. Perfection! Worth every dollar !

Great characters, narrator, and storyline…with plenty of spice ;) The whole series is a win!

Love it!

I cannot express enough how much I loved this series. If there is an option to make this a movie I would 100% watch it! The story drew the reader in immediately & kept me guessing on what was going to happen next. The conclusion of the series was perfectly written. I was worried it would be rushed & instead I was pleasantly surprised that the author beautiful ended the story exactly how it needed to be. Give this a listen & I promise you won’t regret your decision!!

the world building was fantastic and the characters were so good that I am going to read the next series hell on Earth cuz I really need to know what happens for others if you want angels and demons, humans surviving together check it out I've not read anything else like it ( Hell gates are open) 👐😁

I loved all of the books. I can't wait to start another series hopefully it will be just as good as this one, hopefully even better. but I doubt that one of the best series I have ever read!

I’ve listened to this series a lot that I have lost count. I completely and honestly recommend this authors work.

great ending to a great series

Yes, I'm so glad all four books were available before I started listening because previous ones had cliffhangers, namely who wins at the end and will River gain immortality. all is answered here, plus some very interesting plot twists. It's a little heavy on battles for my taste - I like intrigue and mind games better - but the character development is quite good even for minor characters. There's still some humor but overall this book is a bit grimmer than others, with reason.
generally, the performance is 5 stars, but with the number of characters, the book would be much better served with two performers. while Field is consistent with making each character sound distinct, some of the males are too high pitch for their description and others are too monotoned.
