Resumen del Editor

What do you do when your husband dies unexpectedly?
You write him a letter, of course.
What do you do when someone answers that letter?

Dani was mid-30s when she found herself alone and without her soulmate.
Coming to terms with her loss took all her strength and her voice.
If Dani thought she’d experienced the worst life could throw at her, she was wrong.
Lies, deceit, confusion surround her.
A stranger, a builder, and a priest comfort her.

Letters to Lincoln is a contemporary romance about overcoming loss, finding the strength to rebuild a life, and learning to forgive.

For listening over the age of 18.

A absolute must listen/read story.

Ms Podger writes amazing developed characters that truly share the depth of their emotions with you while reading. This is a wonderful book to loose yourself in and ignore life around you. Expect to feel extreme sadness and loss, hope and will, anger and defiance.... The narrative brings these characters alive so much so you feel they are just telling you a story over a pot of tea.

Dani looses her husband and daughter in a horrible crash. Along with them she looses her voice. As we watch her try to learn to communicate we really get a good look at the person she is. She is sweet and thoughtful but so very lost. Determined to reach out and start the healing process she writes her dead husband a letter. When someone finds her letter and replies she finds herself with a penpal and an outlet for her feelings.

Miller is hired to help construct a home for Dani out of an old barn on the property. The more we see of Miller the more we see a caring man who has had his own share of heartbreak. He becomes a fast friend to Dani and her rock away from her family.

When the rug keeps getting pull out from Dani's feet and she thinks she can't move forward. Miller is always there for her. Will the develop more than a friendship? Will Miller let Dani in when it is his turn for help?

Such a wonderful book that everyone must find time to read.

Get Your Tissues Ready!

Reading the synopsis I knew this was going to be a tear jerker. I wasn’t prepared to ugly cry with making smearing and snot running all over my face for the first 4 chapters. I’m sure my monthly hormones were no help!

But have no fear! This is the kind of story that breaks you apart then slowly puts you back together. I won’t give away spoilers except to say that if you’re the type of person that needs a HEA, hang in there. There’s a lot of life that has to be lived, but it’s worth the ride.

The only fault I’ll give in this story is the narrator voicing the male parts. I don’t know if it’s the accent or something else, but I think some of the emotion of the characters gets lost in translation. Loved the story and didn’t even mind all the tissues I had to go through!
