Wow! Yes!

This is only my se one book from this author. I was meh about the giddy one I tried and because I didn’t dislike it, but wanted something with just a little more oomph, I tried another of hers. And wow. This is exactly the oomph I was hoping for! I think I might try just a few more of her books. This story was a true mystery and kept me guessing until the very end. And I loved the narrator. You will not be disappointed.

Mixed feelings

The beginning if this book had me interested in what was going on. Towards the middle, I lost some interest and started feeling like the main character was annoying me and I wasn’t sure I would continue listening. I took a short break and picked it up again. It did eventually catch my interest again, and I wanted yo know what was really going on. Without giving anything away, the core plot is pretty far fetched, but in the end, it was worth a listen. The narrator has a very pleasant voice and does a good job.

Entertaining Story

This is my 4th K L Slater book, and I enjoyed it as much as the others. It kept my interest throughout, and I loved the narration as well. We all have different tastes, so there’s no way to predict whether you’ll enjoy the story. However, if you’re seeking light entertainment, a story that highlights the selfishness, secrecy, trials and triumphs of people from different walks of life, then I think you’ll enjoy this book.

Good story and narration

I liked the narrator, who was very clear and well paced. The story took awhile to actively engage; once it started, it moved forward. It was a good listen, no cursing or gratuitous violence. Lots of tension!
