Incredibly powerful perspective and insight on an incredible story of struggle, determination, and beating the odds, despite deeply rooted forces meant to oppress a community and people. The will power, discipline and intellectual prowess of Rich Paul is remarkable and should hold an inspirational and motivating message to all young men and women trying to find their purpose and believe in their boundless self worth. I was not familiar with Rich Paul until this read and am leaving with great respect and appreciation for sharing his journey with us.

I went through a lot of those things with my life with family and circumstances so I understand some of the things he went through. great storytelling really enjoyed this book

An audiobook in the subject’s voice always makes a difference for me… this was a heartfelt homage to those who help build this young man, and I applaud his efforts with ensuring that those he comes across don't remain dependent on him if they’re listening. Discovering how informative your journey has been and applying those lessons is POWERFUL!

What An Incredible Story! He’s Blessed!

Rich tells his story of overcoming and triumph. Being an African American in the USA I can understand his upbringing. He’s an American Icon that will be in black history books for changing the sports agency world.

Phenomenal.

Powerful and inspiring. I’d recommend this to anybody who is looking to read/listen to the story of a man who went through a lot and made the best of a difficult childhood and adolescence. What’s clear is Rich is smart - intellectually and emotionally, and understands the importance of people and relationships.

“I feel seen”

Over the past week, I read Rich Paul's latest book, Lucky Me and by read, I mean I listened to the audiobook at 1.5x speed. Read by Paul himself, it was a rich story that took a commendable angle. The angle was that Rich focused on his upbringing and what built "Lil Rich" rather than the champagne-soaked tales of being a kingmaker in professional sports or gossipy takes on his good friend LeBron that could be skewed and reshaped by the pundits and social media. And in his story, I saw so much of myself. Now, to be clear, I never sold weed, I was never the kid in the dice game (I'd watch and then get bored and go play basketball), but what did resonate was a spirit shared by all the crack-era babies. Much of it goes unsaid, but the vibe is cloudy, like the old clubs Billie Holliday used to perform in.
