Psychology of dieting

After reading a lot of diet books and blogs, this book finally put things into perspective for me. It addresses "how" to diet, which in some ways is more important than "what" to eat. We all have some idea about which foods make us healthy and reduce our weight, but actually doing it is surprisingly hard. The author takes you step by step through the practical tips needed to stay on course, especially when it gets tough and you want that sugar or salt high. Each time I feel temptation luring me into pleasure eating, I hear her words of advice. A very helpful book!

Great Book on Sensible Eating Habits

I picked up quite a few great tips on mindful eating and how to create long lasting results for weight management, such as tasting food with intention and mindfulness and eliminate distractions. Narrator did a great job as well!

Ditch your diet and lose weight.

I have to agree with the author: Dieting rarely works, whereas “mindful eating” provides measurable results. The challenge is knowing the difference between what you need and what you desire or want. This audiobook shows you how to address this obstacle to achieving long-term weight loss. I especially enjoyed the insights being shared in Chapter 3 on how to tell the difference between emotional and physical hunger. And, more importantly, what tips and tricks to follow that’ll make mindful eating more successful.

This audiobook expands upon one key, eating-related premise: we should be mindful and aware when we are eating so that we don’t overeat or eat things that won’t sit well with our bodies.

This is a huge problem for our society — the processed foods we eat, and the distracted states in which we eat them, often cause us to overeat or cram things down our throats that aren’t in our best interest.

This book helps us reframe that problem. It also delivers a framework for getting past it. It’s a solid listen that I recommend to anyone looking to change their relationship with food.

The typical advise is “less is more” or
, “quality over quantity”, and “etc”. She addresses the source in a way that isn’t so cookie cutter deliverable. It’s a breath of fresh air
