Resumen del Editor

O2E CEO Warren Buffett spends 80% of his time thinking. Tim Armstrong, CEO of AOL, makes his executives devote 10% of their day, or 4 hours per week, to thinking. Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg are both well known for taking week-long 'thinking' retreats.

In More Time to Think, Nancy Kline demonstrates that the quality of everything we do depends on the quality of the thinking we do first. The leaders, entrepreneurs and business people who understand this are at the top of their fields and inspire some of the most successful and innovative practices and businesses in the world.

In this audiobook, Nancy Kline shares 10 effective ways to help people think innovatively, and with rigour. From learning that the mind works best in the presence of a question, and that a key factor in the quality of a person's thinking is how they are treated by the people around them, to the importance of appreciation, Nancy Kline shows how to create a successful 'Thinking Environment', whether for two people, a start-up, or a larger organisation.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"As we make sense of change in the 21st century, a deep understanding of the Thinking Environment should be part of every leadership development programme. It intrinsically values the contribution and humanity of each person, and drives team effectiveness. Its power is evident in higher quality relationships, as well as in shorter, smarter meetings." (Rosemary Grant, Statutory Director, Johnson & Johnson Medical UK)

"When you change the way you think, you change everything. In my work and my life the Thinking Environment has made all the difference." (Scott Farnsworth, President, SunBridge Inc., USA)

Exceptional.

This is a life changing practice. The simplicity of this book masks its true (R)evolutionary content. A must read for all leaders. Especially parents!

one of the best books I've ever read

the second part of mansi climbs time to think. Nancy goes into a lot more depth for each individual part of a coach's life and many other aspects. it is an incredibly in-depth teaching on how and why and the process involved to really create a beautifully creative thinking environment.

Thought-provoking

I read is slowly because it gave me so much to mull over, and practise in my life as I was reading it. I think it has changed the way I interact with the world and helped me to understand how to connect better with others.

Transforming.

Having first read Time to Think this was just necessary follow up. It was interesting to learn about values from a different perspective.

Another book that could have been an article

This book contains a few valuable lessons. It expounds on these lessons with interminable example dialogues that are contrived and condescending (to us, the listener). Even the executive coach who recommended this to me doesn't talk the way this book recommends talking. If he did, I expect he'd lose his clients in short order.

The narrator is the author, and she sounds infatuated with her own ideas. The longer I listened, the more her style grated on me. If this book eliminated all the pregnant pauses injected by the narrator, I'd certainly have more time to...we'll, do anything other than listen to this book. I even tried to listen at 1.4x, but it was still painful.

I just did not enjoy this book. :(

I'm sorry to have to give someone a 1 star. I think others may like this kind of book but for me there was not substance. Lots of discussion on how great the information is but little to know new information. Lots of sizzle but not much steak. If you are looking for light puffy psychology in sound bites you might like this book. Kinda like a chicken soup type of book then you might like this one. It just was not for me and I felt lke the advice given was not good or counter to what I see as productive information.
