Brimming with adrenaline all the way through!!!

This was an action packed run all the way through, top to bottom. James Foster Anderson added to the action and story unlike any other and this was a first for me by Mayne and I loed it. Actually, not the first, I read Grendel's Shadow, but a totally different story than here. I need to get hold of the rest of his series. I was absolutely blown away by Trasker and can't wait for the second installment. Jack Reacher, eat your heart out dude!! I read this one in a day. What a way to spend my last day off before going back to the grind next week!!

Good but not great

After reading everything else in his catalog, I was excited to see this new series. as a character is interesting, and the device of the memory palace is very compelling. There’s enough good here to make me excited for the next book in the series, but I have to say that the resolution of the story was a bit anticlimactic and underwhelming.  The narration is nothing special and full of mispronunciations that I found really annoying.

 Strong woman heroine with credible male mentor

I really loved the undersea investigative unit series so thought I would give this a try. I enjoy Andrew Mayes, descriptions and Characters. I thought this was an OK read but nothing great.

I loved the readers voice!

I liked the tale, the characters and the humor. I will look for more from this author.

Great Read

I really enjoyed this book. The characters were perfect. This retired spy gets brought out of retirement to help solve a complicated case. I loved his personality. So levelheaded and meticulous. Thanks for a great read!

Trust no one

I don't usually read spy books, but this was kind of fun. The subterfuge from all sides kept the reader on their toes! There were no sudden obvious changes in character just to to provide a surprise ending, but no characters we're totally reliable at all all the way through.
Good book

It has potential

This one has its moments. The story sort of rises and falls and drifts between captivating and boring. The characters are fine but never really develop. The back story is interesting and well handled. Clearly there will be more to the series. I’m not sure if I will continue but I’m fine with the first one.

New and unique protagonist

Interesting concept. Enjoyed the read but had to relisten to get all the connecting threads.

Great story and excellent narration

I am a great fan of Andrew Mayne no matter who the protagonist is. I really hope he does more of this character. Please keep up the superior writing!

Could not stop reading!

Another great Andrew Mayne story. Felt there may be another book coming with this character and hope I am right!
