This story is so darn good.
I could live in Elsie Silver land forever. I love everything that Elsie writes. This book was exceptionally well narrated. By some of my favorite narrators. I laughed. I cried. I was totally biting my nails at certain points. This is a beautiful story that you just don’t want to miss

Small Town/Sports Romance
The FMC, Billie, was likable from the start. I respected her, especially when she stuck to her beliefs no matter how uncomfortable they made someone feel because it was the right thing to do. She was unapologetic about how she went about it, and that's refreshing. The MMC, Vaughn, almost missed his chance with her. He had character development and redeemed himself. I read the reviews and someone said Billie had more chemistry with her horse than Vaughn. I'm laughing at this truth.

First Book Syndrome
Off to the Races is a good start to the series. The romance is good, but the third act break up was dumb. It set the hero back to 1955 Madmen stupidity. He does redeem himself and they do get their HEA, so there is that.
