Good

On His Six was a good book. I liked the story of Ryker, this wounded and scarred soldier who went through hell and miraculously survived, and Wren, a hacker genius on an impossible mission to fulfill a promise to her late brother. While working together Wren found the key to Ryker's blackened heart and proved that after all he'd been through, he still had a soul.
I liked the writing, it was really entertaining. My only complaint is there were a few references to previous missions - I assume were the storylines in the previous two books - what seemed to have made big impacts on some of the characters' lives but were never elaborated. As I considered this story a standalone I would have liked a few additional sentences there to be able to understand what situations the characters were referring to. Other than that I really enjoyed Wren and Ryker's story.

Out of the two narrators I liked Aiden Snow's parts better. I liked how he brought Ryker's character to life. His female voice was also very good. His speech was a lot clearer, more to my liking. Grace Grant's narration wasn't my favorite. She captured Wren's anxiety in her narration but still, I had a hard time warming up to her way of speaking. It was more slurred and a little less understandable. I'm not sure if it was a recording issue or she has such heavily veiled voice.

His little bird... Sweet!

Aiden Snow playing Ryker, all alpha, masculine and dangerous was right on target for me. That deep voice gives me goosebumps....and I love it!
I also love it when the author recognizes when they have the right narrators for a series.
This is another Special Ops book with intrigue, mystery, topped off with some romance.
Ryker was definitely a badass dude with demons and the story tells us why. He dealt with some serious stuff.
I do love listening to Patricia Eddy's books especially when Aiden is narrating.
Ryker, dealing with his fears and scars and finally finding that balance he needed and his little bird made for a decent story.
Ryker was in the previous book "In Her Sights" (Aiden was excellent in that one too) but this one is all about Ryker!! Explains his attitudes from the other book. I can't use words like angst or epic because that's not the case here but I did enjoy it and I'm just a big Aiden Snow fan so I am a little biased too.

Gripping from the opening lines

Wow - this is my first book by this author and it will not be my last. From the opening gut wrenching lines right up to the very end this story had me on the edge of my seat. It is filled with romance, suspense and heart wrenching angst. Ryker and Wren need to go from hell back to reality in order to find love in the end. Perfect narration and I cannot wait for more in this series.

Exciting story with compelling characters

The two main characters for this story are Ryker and Wren. Wren works for Dax, the only other soldier who lived through the torture Ryker did. (the story starts with a look into the horror Ryker had to go through during his time as a POW- oof, that was tough!)

This is the third in the series and there are a few details that I assume were discussed in prior books so may be best to read in order (I received an audiobook for this book so I hadn’t read the prior books but still had no trouble following the line of this story)

Overall, this story was exciting, with a good mix of action, suspense and romance. The characters are damaged but still try to do good. They have a hard time trusting but eventually, find that trusting and believing in one another is the path to their salvation. Ryker, especially, has a hard time trusting people, including those on his team but of course, through the course of the book, realizes that this trust makes him a better, stronger person. I really liked Wren’s character because she suffers from anxiety and panic attacks but rises above those to help as she can (they were trying to save some people from the same mobsters who killed her brother). There is a fair bit of violence, engaging in drugs and scenes/mentions of sexual violence. But this was an interesting and compelling story and I look forward to reading more from this author.

Aidan Snow is PERFECT for the male character. He also has a fantastic ability to go raspy as Ryker and smooth for Wren. He is a great narrator. Grace Grant did well as well but I think she tries a little too hard trying to play a male character so it doesn't sound very realistic.

This is my first book of this author, definitely looking forward to reading others!

Fell in love the first time the first sentence was read. I would recommend it.

Such a great story of a broken man!

I LOVED Aiden Snow as the voice of Ryker in this book. He had just the right voice for a broken, wounded alpha male soldier who is just trying to find his way back to himself. Wren is computer coder who suffers from severe anxiety. The two of them finding their way to each other and healing each other just made my heart sing. The narrators work so well together, complimenting each other with their styles. I loved how Patricia D. Eddy brings such depth to the characters! To have such emotions, such trauma in both the MC's lives, it is just incredible. The different gestures that Wren does to cope with her anxiety. The way that Ryker behaves when confronted with emotion. Just incredible. Loved every second of this book.

Amazing Romantic Suspense!

This is the third book in the Away From Keyboard Series. The whole Series is great! All stories can be listened as a standalone, but believe me, you don't want to miss one of them. This great Romantic Suspense/Dark Military Romance is really well written. Ryker and Wren's story is breathtaking, heartbreaking, sexy, suspenseful, fast-paced, twisted, and totally captivating. Ryker, a former special forces, is a broken man. Wren, a hacker, is a beautiful, and strong woman, who struggles with anxiety disorders. They share a strong, and hot chemistry. The Epilogue is wonderful. I totally recommend this audiobook. Aidan Snow and Grace Grant did an amazing job with the narration. Now, I can't wait for Dax's story.

This book is heart stoppingly good. It is Brutally intense and I loved every minute of it. This book was well written and fast paced it was deliciously good to me. Aiden Snow and Grace Grant did a outstanding job of bring this high pace and greatly written book to life for me, Loved it!

Beautifully Broken...... Ryker and Wren

This book is definitely worth the credit, it has action, mystery, suspense and retribution. Aiden Snow is so Amazing as the narrator. I’ve read the next book in the series as it’s Dax’S book and this series does not disappoint. However when they relive their time in captivity, that part is not for the faint of heart.

On His Six - exciting and captivating

I flove this series. The audio enhances the experience in all the best ways—such excellent writing with rich, complex characters. I need more!!
