Smart and funny

I loved the storyline, but the author also made me laugh out loud at some of the dialogue—in a good way. The narrator was excellent, and the only thing I don’t understand is why this isn’t a huge bestseller. Easy read, fun read, smart read.

Incredible!

I loved this book. The humor and story was amazing. Think “Beetlejuice” meets “The Good Place”. Great way to break of the dark tone of so many murder mysteries.

Hooked me and kept me...need more books like this and loved the audio...the narration is spot on!

I genuinely laughed out loud.

Dr. Price was not a "good" woman and it becomes clear early on why someone wanted her dead. BUT she is an interesting, flawed, funny, and likable character. The murder mystery is the 4th most intriguing thing about the book - not to say it was bad. Just that the relationships in the book were more interesting. I listened to this over the course of a day. I wish I had paced myself. It was an utterly enjoyable listen. Maz Evans was a superb narrator.

If your looking for a fun mystery read this is the book for you. I loved everything about this book.

Funny, poignant, excellent

I always love a book narrated by the author and Max does an amazing job. She is engaging and puts the exact right emphasis where it should go. The book has a unique take on death, life, and everything in between. It’s really funny in a sassy kind of way. I can’t wait to listen to your other books!!
