Very good and entertaining. Prepare for a very long but not tedious listen. nice to have the author read his own book.

Very pleasurable to listen and informative to understand. Dan Brown is a thorough researcher and excellent writer who brings the spirit and feeling of the eras about which he writes with compelling detail. I highly recommend!

great historical amalgamation of king and thrones.

i personally loved the dtail and the broad range of history that this book covers thus giving a better sense of what was happening on a obal level...it amazed me that there was so much I had not been aware of during long periods focusing on only a couple of points when what was happening elsewhere affected the whole of society!

The best history

I’ve read and studied many texts dealing with medieval European history. This one was the most informative and interesting. Highly recommended!

Good overall history

I loved this. Dan Jones is perhaps one of my favourite Historians this is a good general overview and I would say it is slightly academic this is good for somebody who is scholarly or who is just a general history enthusiast

Middle Ages and mayhem

I enjoyed this one. It was a great listen for me. I’ll listen to it again at some point. The human experience during this time is mind boggling to me. The author does a good job explaining the background of each story and theme. There’s drama, gore, history, and more. I am a fan.

Great historical story telling

Dan Jones does a great job of making this track of history feel like story time. You can get a glimpse of the personality of the historical people we know from school, or those we never knew about. If you’re wanting an enjoyable history lesson, defiantly listen to this book.

a complete historical overview

Understand the history of the Middle Ages through social understanding of leaders, tribes, and groups of people. I appreciated this approach, which provided me an understanding of the culture of today's countries and how their boundaries were formed.
