Resumen del Editor
From the best-selling author of Sister of My Heart comes a spellbinding tale of mothers and daughters, love and cultural identity.
Rakhi, a young painter and single mother, is struggling to come to terms with her relationship with ex-husband Sonny, a hip Bay Area DJ, and with her dreamteller mother, who has rarely spoken about her past or her native India. Rakhihas her hands full, juggling a creative dry spell, raising her daughter, and trying to save the Berkeley teahouse she and her best friend, Belle, own. But greater challenges are to come. When a national tragedy turns her world upside down and Rakhi needs her mother’s strength and wisdom more than ever, she loses her in a freak car accident. But uncovering her mother’s dream journals allows Rakhi to discover her mother's long-kept secrets and sacrifices - and ultimately to confront her fears, forge a new relationship with her father, and revisit Sonny's place in her heart.

Award-winning poet Marisa de los Santos crafts an irresistibly touching debut novel. Love Walked In is a contemporary tale, steeped in nostalgic, cinematic charm, of love in all its forms. Unapologetically idealistic about love, Cornelia Brown appears to catch the break of a lifetime when the dashing Martin Grace, her own personal Cary Grant, comes strolling into her life. But it is Martin's connection to 11-year-old Clare Hobbes that touches Cornelia's heart in ways she never imagined.

Love everything related to India
I never managed to connect with the main character, I found her so cold and blank. I loved the character of the mother, though, and was looking forward to reading about her magical dream world and the magic of India itself.

Too metaphysical
I didn't identify with any of these characters. The story line was so so, but I really didn't like all the metaphysical weirdness. I also got tired of listening to the narrator's interpretation of the little girl's voice which was a constant whine. Not this author's best work in my opinion.

Engaging tale of family relationships
Finished in 3 days. It's a story that includes an intricate weave if family and culture with a hint of magic. Loved the narration.

Dream Time
I enjoyed this book. I didn't really care for the main character, but the story that unfolded was interesting and kept me listening. The narrator is great, except for the little girl's voice as mentioned by another reviewer. I could have done without the dream journal entries that had nothing to do with the story, but those were pretty few. I thought the book had a good balance of mystic and realistic themes.
