People do not trust Christianity anymore. But rather than trying to make the church look better, respected author and pastor Dr. Eric Mason calls followers of Jesus to be better.
The reputation of the people of God isn’t healthy. You can’t scroll down a newsfeed without seeing someone post something negative about the church—a scandal, church hurt, foolish words from the pulpit, and more. People don’t respect Christians anymore. If God’s glory is supposed to be shown through his people, something is very wrong. We need major rebranding.
Rather than claiming that this low reputation is spiritual warfare, we need to own our role. In Rebranding the Church, Dr. Mason invites followers of Jesus to join God in the work of restoring dignity in the church.
Dr. Mason isn’t just calling the church out, he is also calling her up. This book is a training manual for the average Christian to lovingly and truthfully share Christ with people who no longer respect their faith. It's a roadmap to addressing some of the biggest reputation issues Christians have, and a street-level picture of what following Jesus actually looks like. We can welcome back people who have been hurt by the church. We can reverse the negativity that has been allowed to proliferate. And it all starts now.
