Resumen del Editor

The Coven's adventures in Vermenia created a ripple they could not predict long after Joanna and her men returned safely home to Canderfey. The university now has visitors: the hidden Scrivens community, refugees running from their own government. While Joanna is thrilled to see her family again and learn more about her magic and the history of the Scrivens, others are less enthusiastic at the newcomers' arrival.

Canderfey University's President is resistant to the changes taking place on his campus. Soon it appears as if he has reason to be, with mysterious incidents damaging the Scrivens' reputations. Joanna will fight against anyone to keep her family and the other innocent members of the community safe from suspicion and hatred, but tensions rise even within the coven as Aiden seeks to keep peace between all parties. Can he hold his coven together or are the fractures he senses growing too deep to repair?

Contains mature themes.

this review is for all 4 books in the series

If you enjoy sappy romantic frivolous nonsense this book is for you.
This book had true potential but was really only a really simple and straightforward love story where the love just appears for no reason I can see. Joanna has an almost constant woe is me attitude "oh these men are so amazing and I'm so worthless" over and over again. It gets ridiculous and frustrating really fast. She has no spine or self respect and her conviction that she's worthless without magic sickens me. she does mostly get over this by the end of the series but not in a way that makes sense to me. Then she figures out that she has magic she's imeadelety on board with the relationship. At 27 years old I would expect her to not act like a 13 year old. Then she tries to leave them for their own good and 10 minutes later she's fucking Aiden and promising to never do it again.
Everything in this series happens way too fast and way too easily, there is little to no tension or build up. I almost think she wrote the sex scenes first and the rest of the story was just filler, The only reason I continued with this story after the first book is because I liked the idea of a librarian Wordsmith so much. I wish a different author had had the idea though, one that could do it justice. I don't think this author ever got the advice; show don't tell. It's good advice for authors and I wish she would do more of it.
At first I didn't think I liked the narrator's but by the end of the series I thought they were pretty good, they just took some getting used to.

This series is fantastic, 4.5 ⭐️

In this 3rd book of Kathryn Moon’s Librarian’s Coven series, we get to see what happens to a coven when there is internal tension (with some outside influences that make it much worse). It wasn’t my favorite of the series but I thought it did a great job moving the plot along and adding more awesome characters to this spectacular world.

Kathryn Moon does a great job at making you fall for characters and really root for them. In Scrivens, our favorite coven has to deal with helping get the immigrants settled in and protecting them against prejudices by those at Candefay. I really enjoyed some of the new side characters: the adorable child who makes a new friend *wink wink* and Joanna’s family. I definitely wanted to punch a certain young adult woman in the face for how she tried to destroy the coven bond, but I think she redeemed herself a bit at the end. I liked the adaption of the words with pictures and the different mediums used to write. I did think there was come repetitiveness in the storyline with the jealously and lack of communication that made it not hold my attention 100% of the time, but I still think it was a great 3rd book in this 4 book series. No dont get me wrong, I love Callum the most out of the 3 men, but I thought he got way too much Joanna time in this book. I definitely felt like Isaac got the shaft and when Aiden finally got over his hang ups, they had an steamy make up hahaha. The steam/sex scenes were amazing in this one, especially with the M/M element!! I loved Callum taking charge, so freaking hot haha.

The narration was on point yet again! I love this combination of Sienna and Cornell. I usually am not a fan of narrators doing British accents because a lot of the time they mess it up or it sounds strained. I did not think that at all with this series. Amazing job yet again! I will definitely add these narrators on my 5 star list! I thought their take on this one really added to the story, especially when the Ancients took the stage. The voices and feelings were amazing.

Definitely continuing to recommend this series. I also want more Bryce and his coven, which I know will happen since I started book 4 right after finishing book 3 on audio ❤️❤️❤️

Joanna put her foot down!

I'm ashamed that it took me 3 books to realize that this book has mad The Mummy (1999) vibes. But The Mummy as a hot reverse harem, where Imhotep isn't a butthead! Joanna is an ACTUAL LIBRARIAN! Ugh. Then you have Callum, who is clearly Rick. Isaac and Aiden are a little harder to sus out. Arguments can be made for both of them filling the roles of Imhotep and Ardeth. My final assessment has me calling Isaac = Ardeth and Aiden = Imhotep. And I'm making these rulings. Today, anyway. :)

Vermenia has thought that Scrivens were extinct. Now that Scrivens have been brought back into the spotlight, Vermenia is searching for them to get them back under government control. The Scrivens seek refuge, and Aiden uses his father's political power to convince everyone to allow them to settle at Canderfey. Not everyone is pleased to have the Scrivens in Canderfey.

Aiden uses all of his own sway with the university board to try to keep things smooth for the Scrivens and everyone else at the university. But it seems that there's someone out to get the Scrivens all the way in Canderfey. And that's not even the worst thing. There's a Scriven who uses her power to try to come between Joanna and her coven. Specifically, she tries to take Isaac away from them. But watching Joanna shut that little diva down was extremely satisfying!
