Resumen del Editor

Author of the New York Times and international best-seller Unfu*k Yourself Gary John Bishop presents a no-holds-barred guide to breaking through our cycles of self-sabotage to get what we want out of life.

In Unfu*k Yourself, Gary John Bishop told us it was time to stop making excuses - to recognize and take responsibility for the negative self-talk holding us back. In Stop Doing That Sh*t, he builds on that message, teaching us how to stop self-sabotaging behavior.

Bishop explains how our destructive cycles come down to the way we’re wired. He then identifies different types of people and the ways we f--k ourselves over: We can’t save money. We land in the same type of toxic relationship. We’re stuck in a rut at work. Analyzing why we act the way we do, including what our common grenades are that blow up our lives, Bishop then shows how we can interrupt the cycle and stop self-sabotaging our lives.

Authored in the same in-your-face style as Unfu*k Yourself, Stop Doing That Sh*t will help us get in touch with our psychological machinery so we learn to interrupt negative thoughts and behavior before they start, allowing us to give our attention to something else, and start to find success in the areas we thought we never could.

We can take back our lives. We may have f--ked up in the past, but Stop Doing That Sh*t will show us how to break the patterns in order to live the lives we yearn to have.

eerily accurate

I've been going through a lot since 2020 and, recently, have begun to self sabotage every aspect of my life. this is a very good motivational book that will snap you out of your own madness and get you to see whats true. dont be manipulated... give yourself time and space and have those uncomfortable conversations and make and get those apologies so you can do something else with your life.

Wow! Right to the heart

I’m so glad I bought this audiobook. I will be listening to it over and over again. This isn’t a “feel good”, “let’s hold hands” kind of self-help book. It’s an in your face, no excuses, right to the heart spotlight on what we do, why we do it, and what to do when it happens kind of book. I laughed, cried and learned a lot about the b.s. I carry around. I highly recommend it!

The Best, Most Significant Book I’ve Ever Read

I recommend this book to everyone. It’s a must read to break out of the status quo by uncovering the subconscious beliefs we have about ourselves, other people and life itself. Buckle up and prepare for a paradigm shift life none other.

The Truth hurts

You have not gotten the value that this book provides until you have asked yourself those unequivocal questions about why you subconsciously shoot yourself in the foot when you think about taking a leap, just to have an excuse not to. You may understand this book but action to mold your future is simply no one else’s responsibility but your own. If you do not take serious critical actions on a daily basis to implement these core concepts within this book then do not bother listening to one syllable, it is a waste of money and time.

This book has been an eye opener for me, it really jolted me to move into action. I’m changing my thought process and also approaching my life from my destiny. It’s not my usual language but very inspiring book.

Ok

It’s a good book, but it’s would be better without the curse words. Even the title already tell me what to expect, I hate this kind of language.
