The Series hasn't lost its edge
Two good plots that Connelly did an excellent job of jogging back and forth between. He left us to ponder where the Irving character will be going in the next installment. The mark of a good author is playing with the readers' emotions by having us alternately rooting for and against his characters, some of them very evil. This book delivers.

Poor narration
I love Harry Bosch and Michael Connelly, but I had trouble listening as the narrator had a horrible lisp in his narration voice. Before I got used to it, I was wishing I had read it on my Kindle.

Connelly still got it!
This latest Harry Bosch book is holding up the excellence of the author. I have been disappointed lately by authors I have followed for year decline in quality. Bosch is having problems balancing his work life, his role as father and problems of working with a partner rather than alone. He is also questioning himself about the fact aging maybe starting to cause him to lose his edge. The story balances two cases, one current, one cold so the reader needs to stay on ones toes. You will not waste a credit on this book.

I've missed Harry...
Great story...great series...searing characters...outstanding plot -- all by one of the top crime writers on the planet. What's not to like?
Try to plan listening to this on a road trip...because I guarantee you're going wind up sitting in the driveway unwilling to turn it off if you don't.
Connelly and Cariou are a perfect combination. One of the best audio books of the year.
Now when's the next one coming???

Good but....
I’d think the producers could spend some $ on more than one reader. Listening to the one guy try to imitate every voice was comical & distracting to the story. I remember the days of serial story telling on radio (before TV) and this was poor by comparison.

Connelly and Cariou - their brilliance shines through!
I bow to both Michael Connelly and Len Cariou as they pair up again to present another suspenseful murder thriller. This time, Harry Bosch takes on two separate cases. I have many books by Connelly and he never fails to entertain. Narration by Cariou is spot-on. There are some dark and troublesome parts. Again, thank you to this dynamic duo! I anxiously await for more Bosch, Haller and McEvoy! Very highly recommended.

Begging for the rest of the story!
Another strong Bosch story, but REALLY, this is the first half of the book! The author is teasing the reader! Hope the rest of the story is published soon!
