Kept me listening

I enjoyed this book until the end. There is no twist no surprise. I kept waiting for more.

Excellent story

This story had so many twist and just when you think you’ve figured it out.....I won’t spoil it for you just-I listened you this book in one day it was that good! Loved it

I love all her books but thhis is near the top. very enjoyable. Definitely a must read.Ijust read other reviews. I can't believe that people don't think this is one of the best books they've ever heard. You'll be selling yourself short if you don't get it.

A bit confusing if not listening to continuously.

Ok but not convinced I like this kind of novel. At first was listening only part time and got characters confused,once settled into story got a bit more out of it. Narrators were fine.

Gripping!

I was ‘glued’ to this audiobook and just finished it. I’m actually going to listen to the whole thing again now that it has unfolded to the conclusion - there are so many details that I want to revisit. Brilliant! The narration was perfect. A 100% successful literary experience!

Intriguing thriller

An eerie home and a dysfunctional family form the centerpiece for this story that, though fairly predictable in its turn of events, was quick to read and easy to get caught up in. The narrative jumps around in time and places the focus on three different characters as it builds up the suspense and develops out the story. It is great that each of these perspectives has its own narrator.
The premise was intriguing, and a bit cringy with certain elements of the cultish life portrayed; I found it interesting that the portions of Henry's dated perspective seemed to be in direct conversation with Libby and Lucy's current situations as they make their way to the Chelsea house and uncover the truth about one another. Though the ending of the story was a bit too happy and coincidentally "perfect" for my tastes, I did enjoy the lingering creepiness, and open-ended nature, offered by Henry's parting line.

I have read (listened to) almost all of Lisa Newell’s books and this one tops the list! I just love how I can never guess what’s going to happen or how it’s going to turn out when I read her books and this one doesn’t disappoint either. Don’t miss it.

loved it!! It's kind of gothic creepy

The story is engrossing, the characters vivid. with unexpected twists. I didn't want the book to end and these characters will stay with me.
