Acerca de esta escucha
In this nostalgic trivia book, we will revisit every fascinating storyline from the 1990s, a decade of evolving technology and science advances and shocking violence. Hear about monstrous natural disasters, police brutality, abuses of power by government officials, and rioting citizens who fought back against them.
Discover the events that led to the end of the Cold War and the beginning of the war in the Middle East and instability between battling ethnic and religious groups around the world. Read how domestic terrorism made its way into the United States through foreign ideology and homegrown hatred.
Here are some of the topics we will cover:
- Which Madonna video did MTV reject, and why was her book so controversial?
- Which two superstar rappers died when they got caught up in an East Coast vs. West Coast rap rivalry?
- What women dominated the country charts and crossed over to the Top 40?
- How did a cult complex in Texas catch on fire and burn to the ground, killing its occupants?
- How did a standoff between the FBI and an Idaho militia family end?
- How did a Virginia man lose his penis (no joke), and which boxer had his ear bitten by Mike Tyson in the ring?
- What led to rioting in Los Angeles, and what court case became the "Trial of the Century?"
- What nations were involved in genocide, and how were they stopped?
This book answers the key questions you might have from the 1990s. You’ll hear gripping tales from tragic moments to soaring victories that brought huge headlines in the 1990s, as well as facts that you might have forgotten.
Are you ready for some nostalgia? Then buy this book and dig in.

It was long ago, but not as long as it seems: The Berlin Wall fell and the Twin Towers collapsed. In between, one presidential election was allegedly decided by Ross Perot while another was plausibly decided by Ralph Nader. Landlines fell to cell phones, the internet exploded, and pop culture accelerated without the aid of technology that remembered everything. It was the last era with a real mainstream to either identify with or oppose. The ’90s brought about a revolution in the human condition, and a shift in consciousness, that we’re still struggling to understand.

The problem isn’t that liberal authors present their opinions or interpretations of history from an obvious left-wing bias. The term Mexican Drug War misleads. It implies that the ongoing bloodbath, which has now killed well over 100,000 people, is an internal Mexican affair. But this diverts attention from the US role in creating and sustaining the carnage. It's not just that Americans buy drugs from and sell weapons to Mexico's murderous cartels. It's that ever since the US prohibited the use and sale of drugs in the early 1900s, it has pressured Mexico into acting as its border enforcer - with increasingly deadly consequences.

America is under attack. Its institutions and values are under daily assault. But the principal culprits are not foreign terrorists. They are influential and powerful Americans secretly stirring up disunion and disloyalty in the shifting shadows of the Democratic Party. Radical infiltrators have been quietly transforming America's societal, cultural, and political institutions for more than a generation. Now, backed by George Soros, they are ready to make their move.

Facts are and must be the coin of the realm in a democracy. Unfortunately, for citizens in the United States and throughout the world, distinguishing between fact and fiction - always a formidable challenge - is now more difficult than ever, as a constant stream of questionable information pours into media outlets. Lewis argues forcefully that while data points and factoids abound, it is much harder to get to the whole truth of complex issues in time for that truth to guide citizens, voters, and decision makers.

Today, sports arenas have been transformed into staging grounds for American patriotism and the hero worship of law enforcement. Teams wear camouflage jerseys to honor those who serve; police officers throw out first pitches; soldiers surprise their families with homecomings at halftime. Sports and politics are decidedly entwined. But as journalist Howard Bryant reveals, this has always been more complicated for black athletes, who from the start were committing a political act simply by being on the field.

Nostalgia
I was barely a teenager when the 90s hit. So I do not remember much of the beginning of the 90s. But it was nice to learn about them. This book was awesome.it was very interesting, and sometimes funny. I love the middle towards the end of the book where I can remember a lot of these things going on. It definitely brought up some memories. I recommend this book.
The narration by Scott Miller was good I would not mind him reading another back to me.
I purposely asked for this bookt so I can review it and leave an honest review.

Great Read
The Great Book of 1990s Trivia: Crazy Random Facts and 90s Trivia was another great read by Bill O'Neill. This was a great trivia and fact book for anyone who loved the 1990s. This book covered many different topics of the 90s. I loved reading this book and can't wait to read more by Bill O'Neill.

Great for reminiscing and educating millennials
I really enjoyed this trivia audiobook from Bill O'neill. I was in college in the 90's, so I lived through many of the events covered by this book. It was fun to remember, revisit, and shake my head (in humor, disbelief, and sometimes sadness) at the events that transpired. Who can forget the OJ Simpson trial, the Clinton impeachment, or the horrific Branch Davidian/Waco debacle? I loved the quizzes that tested my memory of the times. There were even a few surprises and things I didn't know about the era. I recommend this audiobook to anyone who lived through that time, and for those too young to remember, but who want to know what it was like.
The narration was good...clear, even, and well-paced.

A Fun Look Back at the 90's
The Great Book of 1990'a Trivia was a walk down memory lane. The facts from the 90's were interesting to hear again. Some things I had actually forgotten about. Each chapter was a different year through the decade and I enjoyed the quiz at the end of each one. I averaged about 7 or 8 right answers of the questions asked. It was fun. It was a fun decade. Now I'm ready for trivia night.
Scott miller's narration fits this type of audiobook perfectly. He has a voice that sounds like a radio announcer.

Excellent again
This is the eighth book I’ve read/listened to by this author, and without fail, he has again given us a book full of interesting facts. This was a good rehash since the 1990s were my young adult years and I vividly remember most of the content in this book. I did not really ‘learn’ anything, but a few passages added insight.
This is the first book I’ve listened to by this narrator ( Scott Miller ) and I would listen to another. I think he narrated this book very well. He spoke clearly and with just the right amount of emphasis.
There are no explicit sex scenes, excessive violence or swearing.

Great Memories
I really enjoyed listening to this book and it reminded me so much of life happening when I was a kid and also so much that I had no idea about. I love these books by Bill O'Neill and he make the book flow from one category to the next. Also, Scott Miller does a great job with the narration

Guess not only 90's kids remember the 90's....
O'Neill began his Nostalgic Trivia series with a look at the 80's; and now he's back with a look at the 90's. I enjoyed the trivia and facts sprinkled throughout the novel, especially since despite being born in '93, I have very little primary or even secondary knowledge of the decade's most important events (Between being a child and public schooling rarely teaching beyond the WW2 period). So that's pretty neat.
Accuracy: Near as I can tell, he's accurate and isn't obviously biased.
Narration: Miller is consistent as his other titles, no complaints.

A Snapshot of a Decade
This is a great book to get a snapshot of the 1990s. As a young adult during this time I remember much of what is touched on. I was just beginning to pay attention to more of the world than my little corner of it. A lot happened during this decade and, as usual, Bill O'Neill gives us a great overview of this decade. The information is about the key happenings in the 90s, from music to international incidents. The narration was very well done. Scott Miller reads at a nice pace and helps to keep the information flowing flawlessly to help keep your attention. If you love trivia then you really need to check this book and any of the others by this author.
