Resumen del Editor
Happiness is holistic. Holistic means completeness. The expression, state, or condition of euphoria in all phases of life is an ambitious goal that most of us dream about. Living a whole life following the principles of Ma'at should be considered a success. Wellness is the main ingredient for obtaining unspeakable joy.
This book concerns my holistic health journey and the melanin men and women responsible for my knowledge and accomplishments. What does success look like to oneself? Success for me is living free of prescription medicines and free of any ailments. My body, mind, spirit, and soul achieve the mission the creator (Amma/Amen) envisioned for me. I write this book to help all those who strive to promote and live a healthy lifestyle.
I believe wellness is the new Black currency. I am in my early sixties, continuously attempting to succeed in my quest to live long, be healthy, and not require doctor-prescribed medication. Illness can be fatal as well as expensive. In the world we live in today, when you die, your loved ones may be unable to afford to bury you. Insurance is overpriced for most of us. Good dependable health care may not be available to you. If you have access to adequate health care, the pharmaceutical companies target you to make you a happy customer forever.
By sharing my journey, you get the benefit of my research. I will tell you who influenced my wellness as I traveled through life. This document will give you an awakening to the revelation timeline of my life. I will discuss the Black influencer who, at the time, was molding my holistic habits during my marriage, parenting, and continued work life. You will receive the "cheat code" and the "cliff notes." I have made mistakes along the way, so you should not have to make the same ones. None of us are perfect.
However, we all can improve or maintain our health. The Black forbearers have proved it. The scholars, elders, and Jegnas mentioned in this book mentored me from afar. They gave me leads for exploring. Lots of books to read. Many case studies, information, and references. Most of all, methods for personal trial, error and growth.
I want to challenge the reader of this book to take the information provided and act upon what you have read that resonates with you. We have one life in the form of now. If health is not an issue, this book may provide preventative information to ensure your health stays good. One thing about our health, it is genuinely minute-to-minute and day-to-day. To the creator be the glory!

When two Stanford graduate students set out to create a new kind of cigarette that wouldn’t kill them, they didn’t foresee all the obstacles that lay ahead — or the powerful forces their invention would unleash. Nearly 10 years after the launch of the JUUL, Backfired: The Vaping Wars asks: Could e-cigarettes have been the solution to one of the world’s most pressing public health problems—or was this technology doomed to introduce a whole new generation to nicotine, and end up perpetuating an intractable addiction?

But now, in this extraordinary, groundbreaking book, the nation's leading expert on predicting violent behavior unlocks the puzzle of human violence and shows that, like every creature on earth, we have within us the ability to predict the harm others might do us and get out of its way. Contrary to popular myth, human violence almost always has a discernible motive and is preceded by clear warning signs.

For the last two years, I've interviewed more than 200 world-class performers for my podcast, The Tim Ferriss Show. The guests range from super celebs (Jamie Foxx, Arnold Schwarzenegger, etc.) and athletes (icons of powerlifting, gymnastics, surfing, etc.) to legendary Special Operations commanders and black-market biochemists. For most of my guests, it’s the first time they’ve agreed to a two-to-three-hour interview.

Russ Harris offers a surprising solution to low self-confidence, shyness, and insecurity: Rather than trying to "get over" our fears, he says, the secret is to form a new and wiser relationship with them. Paradoxically, it's only when we stop struggling against our fearfulness that we begin to find lasting freedom from it.
