Thorgrim Night Wolf and his men, hunkered down behind their ad hoc defenses and facing off against the powerful army of Æthelwulf, king of Wessex, must find some means to continue their voyage home. It's only when the enigmatic Felix proposes a solution, acceptable to both sides, that the impasse is broken. One of the Best Individual Novels of the Set.
I’m not going to say it was the best, because I have a couple of favorites. But Mr. Nelson did not disappoint - with the exception that I felt like I waited 50 years for it to arrive. (It’s the only book I have ever Pre- ordered.). Of course I’m looking forward to next episode. King Half-Ass is gonna get what’s been coming to him.

Good book
I’ve enjoyed this series so far. Probably going to be one of those never-ending type. While not required, start with the first book. The style is the same throughout the series.
