Wonderful Continuation of the Story
I really enjoyed listening to this book. Very well written and great narration. It was a lovely continuation of the story of The Henna Artist. Loved hearing the perspectives of each main character.

Beautiful
A really great book to escape into. Every character is perfectly imperfect. Brilliantly written and a joy to listen to. I finished this in about three nights and one afternoon! My favorite on Audible so far. It was well worth the credit and I am about to go purchase the book that goes before this!

Beautiful story, each chapter narrated by different person-which made it a joy to listen to.
The writing was beautiful and Alka Joshi has done it again.
Kept me engaged from beginning to end.

LOVE this story by Alka Joshi
This is an addition to The Henna Artist and is just as spellbinding and intriguing! Both books have complex characters and in depth descriptions that take you away to the cities of Jaipur and Shimla. The storyline has adventure, intrigue and character building segments that never disappoints. Alka Joshi has earned a place in my “Favorites” for her immense talent of drawing one into her stories. Also want to shout out to the narrators. Absolute perfection!!! In my experience the narrator can make or break an Audible experience and these 3 are such a dream to listen to as they tell their story.

Mesmerizing

Excellent performance, story was sequel-y
Loved the first book which I read the paperback and loved hearing the names and locations pronounced in this fantastic performance, but the story felt a little too much like a sequel. The author was less subtle in the commentary on society and I thought some parts of the ending were a bit strange. I didn't disagree with any of the commentary, it just felt a bit forced? It kept me interested but I had more than a few eye rolls.
