Intense

Intriguing, suspenseful thriller!!!! Everytime a "new one" was exposed my heart dropped. I wondered when it would end, and if that would turn positive or negative. The extents of the corruption and coverups and the high level it reached was astounding. Impactful and engrossing. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrator did a great job bringing the characters and story to life. I look forward to more.

Far reaching conspiracy expectant mothers dying

This is a strong conspiracy story that might leave you wondering until towards the end.
Expectant mothers are dying at higher than normal rates, and many different characters ranging from medical professionals to ex-military to FBI agents are trying to put together the pieces.
There is more going on than any of these separate characters know.
There are many characters and the stakes are very high. I personally felt a great loss at the brutal shooting of two characters in their home. To me, that scene was hard to continue through.
There's sparse details of a secretive group meeting with heavy physical security, but strangely, the cameras are turned off, and the security are told not to look at the guests, but why?

On to the narration: can I give more than 5 stars? I think I'm going to find a way to fan mail this narrator because this was honestly so great. Despite there being so many characters, the narrator delivers unique voices for every named character. Some of these voices, I'm baffled that it was one person delivering all of it. I will definitely be looking for more titles performed by this awesome narrator.

If you like conspiracy thriller mystery this might be for you. Despite the great narration I think I would have been able to keep better track of characters from reading versus listening.

Let me start by saying that this is not my usual go to type of book, but I was pleasantly captivated and loved it! Intrigue, drama, crimes and cover-ups, secret shadow groups, and conspiracies galore! Plus all the relationships of various key players on both sides of the "conflict"! Loved it and can't wait for the next one!

A fun ride

This book kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. The suspense is palpable. Had me guessing a lot! When you reach the end of this thriller, you’ll be ready for more!

Great read, cops mystery and murder. I hope there will be another book like this

Why?

The story could have been pretty OK I guess.. ,Except for some ungodly reason the author felt compelled to constantly have people talking with their spouse, boyfriend, etc, about how much they liked them... It was so taxing, it served no point to character development, or plot progression. I swear, it's like the author's wife or husband was the editor, and just was making the author make amends for some fight they had at some point in their lives.

It was so gosh darn taxing, to have to just keep hearing it, by the end of the book I was grateful if was over.
