Acerca de esta escucha
If you suffer from insomnia, getting to sleep at night can become a real pain. Indeed, some people report they struggle to sleep for weeks at a time, and that has a drastic impact on both physical and mental health.
Overthinking is the primary reason people struggle to get a good night's sleep. You get stressed out during the daytime, and your brain refuses to let things go when you get into bed at night. This is why nonsensical sleep stories can make a radical difference for everyone. Listening to a story that doesn't make sense confuses your brain, and it gives your mind the jolt it needs to stop thinking about the stresses of your day.
Listening to a couple of stories from this book each night could be the perfect solution to your sleep problems. Give it a go! You have nothing to lose.

Mindfulness and meditation have helped millions to get to sleep with much more ease than ever before. Something that many parents haven’t considered is how these things can help their little ones to wind down, get ready for sleep, kick nightmares from their headspace, and settle in for a long night’s rest. Teaching meditation to your children might seem like an impossible feat, but many have found that their children are remarkably receptive to it when it’s presented like a story.

This is a book about discovering what we really need. There are a lot of second-best options, but we weren't made to live a second-best life. Finding what we actually need is different than what we are often offered. There are many books full of opinions, steps and programs. This isn't one of them. This is about craving the things that matter. Things that don't just work, but last.

Meet Roger. Skilled with words, languages come easily to him. He instinctively understands how the world works through the power of story. Meet Dodger, his twin. Numbers are her world, her obsession, her everything. All she understands, she does so through the power of math. Roger and Dodger aren’t exactly human, though they don’t realize it. They aren’t exactly gods, either. Not entirely. Not yet. Meet Reed, skilled in the alchemical arts like his progenitor before him. Reed created Dodger and her brother. He’s not their father. If life is but a dream, to what do we awake? The central premise of this book is the admittedly ridiculous but incontrovertibly true assertion that the universe does not exist. This is something you can understand conceptually, like watching a documentary about Antarctica, or experientially, like moving to Antarctica. There's also a related phenomenon where you fall asleep watching the documentary and wake up in the frozen wasteland.

Historia
Writer, poet, and teacher Natalie Goldberg shows you how to unleash your "wild mind" - the true source of your creative power. In this crisp mix of memoir, teaching guide, nonfiction and poetry, Goldberg strips creativity to the essential mind that is "raw, full of energy, alive, and hungry." Natalie is compassionate, practical, and humorous. "Even if it's just a leg hanging out the window, she says, "write it down." Highlights include: provocative "try this" exercises to compel you into action, advice on how to find time to write, how to discover your personal style, how to make sentences come alive, and how to overcome procrastination and writer's block. She'll also explore the larger vision of the writer's task: knowing when to take risks as a writer and a person, learning self-acceptance in life and art.

Taylor also gives you a behind-the-scenes tour of his crazy life and the many beyond-the-grave events he's encountered. (You'll be shocked how often Slipknot has been invaded by the supernatural).

Any kind of death annuls everything except his present knowledge and returns him to the past. This is a good way to test all sorts of things. That is, it would be, if not for one little thing.... This loop has real lords and it's unlikely that they'll be happy to hear about an uninvited guest. And that isn't his only problem - all of his memories of the last year have simply disappeared, but the world around him has changed in the meantime.

Historia
The protagonist of Percival Everett's puckish new novel is a brilliant professor of mathematics who goes by Wala Kitu. (Wala, he explains, means "nothing" in Tagalog, and Kitu is Swahili for "nothing.") He is an expert on nothing. That is to say, he is an expert, and his area of study is nothing, and he does nothing about it.

Asleep Within Minutes
This sleep story works consistently and is very effective at getting the brain to a state where you can drift off and fall asleep. I suffer from severe insomnia and this has been a game changer for me. A few minutes after turning on the story, I’m fast asleep.

Warning!! Not for insomniac writers!!
They should change this from help falling asleep to help overcoming writer's block. I feel like I am attending a creative writing course.
Each chapter has multiple "stories" which consist of a few sentences that left me wanting to pull out my laptop, open a blank word doc and continue the story. Much too stimulating to sleep to.
Eric Pressman's voice is perfectly soothing and if I weren't a writer, I may have been lulled to sleep.
