Just the beginning…

I love the descriptions in this book. I can imagine every detail from the feel of a fabric to the smells of the desserts. Tahereh Mafi did a fantastic job of capturing me and transporting me into this fantasy world. I’m now invested and can’t wait to read These Infinite Threads to continue the story of Alizeh.

Fantastic Novel

This gripped me the entire time! I wanted to just listen at 2x speed to get it into my brain quicker because it was SO GOOD and I wanted to know how it ended. I am recommending this to everyone, and I eagerly await book 2! Tahereh is a master at writing and deserves all the recognition for it!!

fascinating

I got this on sale because it looked fun. It was that and more. Brilliant writing and the narration was great. I will now buy the next in the series.

amazing story!

I love this book I can not wait till the next one comes out! I could not stop listening to it once I started the story drags you in.

A wild ride from start to finish

I bought this because it was on sale and suggested for me by audible.I didn't expect much... however, it has been an excellent story to follow from beginning to end! I was completely and pleasantly surprised multiple times within the plot which is unusual for me. Great and a very human protagonists, wonderful villains. 10/10

Wow! What a ride…

This was so entertaining and the world is so vivid I want more. This is not a spicy book but it’s so complex and enticing I couldn’t put it down. So worth the credit.

Slow until the end

Mind you that I just finished the SJM Universe as of January 2025. So this story took its time with world building and its characters. The climax has got me hooked though, excited to see what comes next.

Really slow beginning.

At least 8 chapters before it starts getting good, but having listened to some of this authors other books I kept reading in hopes it got better and it did. Wish there would have a male and female narrator. Sometimes it was hard to follow.

Abrupt ending

Like the descriptions and characters, but felt let down when the end simply was a stop in the action, without much resolution.

mixed feelings

this book I found was far too slow going. I didn't actually get interested in it until I was already halfway through it. I had a feeling that it was going to be an amazing book and it was really going to like it so I forced myself to keep reading. I am so glad that I did. however I'm not happy with the cliffhanger.
