Beautiful story

Loved the story line. Some of the love scenes were a bit too graphic for me, but I could fast forward through them without spoiling the story!

I’ve read this book in hard copy and really liked it. I was curious to see if the listen would measure up. A lot depends on the narrator, and I have listened to Anne Flosnik before and not been impressed. I am happy to say this is one of her better reads. Her performance of the dramatic and pivotal scenes in the book was well done. I will be looking to more listens from her. Hopefully, we will be offered the 2 other books in this trilogy, Forbidden and Enchanted.

Amazing....unbelievably sensual scenes...delicious

Wow....this book was so awesome. What a romance. I have no idea how the author could write such ridiculously sensual and HOT scenes without the characters even having sex! I have never listened to a book wishing the heroine would have her monthly flow already! (You'll understand when you listen to the book)

Great characters, great story, wonderful romance.....it's just so so awesome. Very credit worthy....it's regular price worthy in my opinion.

Now...I have NEVER been a fan of Anne Flosnik and in most of my reviews I don't hold my tongue about her narration.....well this book has made me rethink Anne Flosnik as a narrator. I usually cringe when I see she is the narrator...but she did an excellent job with this book. I stand by my other reviews of her narration...but this was a different Anne...I LOVED how she handled every character.

Listen to this book! I'm going to get the other two in the series RIGHT NOW!

Marvelous historical romance.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Absolutely. The characters were engaging and the plot fast-paced. There was not the irritating indecision between the two main characters that can make a romance lag.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Untamed?

The scenes between the two of them alone.

What about Anne Flosnik’s performance did you like?

Yes, I was unsure at first. I prefer men in a romance but I enjoyed the performance.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When the heroine was trying to save the knight from poison.

An talented author and a wonderful story. I look forward to more from Elizabeth Lowell.

A wonderful romance!

Slightly monotone on a couple characters, but overall a great reading and fantastic story by the author.

Major narrator fail

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

I would not recommend this book to anyone. The narrator has totally ruined the experience for me because of the most boring narration and phony voices. I have had to stop repeatedly to brace myself to just listen to the STORY, not the narrator. I am appalled she was not stopped and told to begin this book again.

What didn’t you like about Anne Flosnik’s performance?

Her horrible attempt at making a man sound "evil." She had three levels of inflection throughout the entire story, most of them a hoarse whisper. The levels never varied. I can talk about the mail being delivered with more enthusiasm, inflection, or variation in my speech.

Did Untamed inspire you to do anything?

Yes. It inspired me to write my first review. Sad that it had to be because the narration was so poor. The story was not much better.

I will be most cautious to make sure I do not get a book narrated by her again.

Everybody loves Lowell!

Although this is book 1 in a Midevil Times series, the second book is a stand alone story, as I anticipate book 3 will be as well. However, some story-line items do continue and reading them in order will no doubt be helpful.

I love Lowell books because she gives enough detail for you to "see" the story but not so much that you are bogged down with the mundane. Her books are entertaining, don't require deep thought or analysis, although historical in setting it isn't a boring history lesson but just another scene prop.
This is yet another wonderful, easy, relaxing Lowell read.

A Bit Trite and Juvenile

While I listened to the whole book, I can't say it was worth the time or the credit. At best, it could be regarded as a way to "clean the palate" between two intense reads. Enough said.

A favorite book finally found on audio! I’ve read the paperback version many, many times & the listening experience holds up to my memory. A very sensual love story. 👍👍

Lovely Romance

First read this book several years ago and enjoyed it thoroughly. Enjoyed getting reacquainted with it through the audible version just as much.
