What a ride !!!!

Ahhhh. I loved this so, so much. A great mix of a really great story and steamy romance. These characters are so easy to root for and love. Read it now. You won’t be disappointed.

I enjoyed this audiobook especially because one of the best narrators- Joe Arden! This audiobook is worth to listen!

Not enough for me

Not enough suspense, darkness or Joe Arden for me. The story was okay. Truly hated the end, but that’s probably just a personal thing. I didn’t like Kasha Kensingtons voice for Lochlan, but thought she was great for Lylah. If this were a duet it would have made it so much better. Still worth a listen though :)

I loved this book!

This was such a good hockey romance. It had darker themes to it so make sure you check TW but wow. I devoured it and the audiobook was GOLD!

Amazing work

Once again Joe has brought one of my favorite book bfs to life perfectly. The emotion that came through from both characters chefs kiss!!

It starts off slow but then gets into it, I love how the relationship grew and stand by each other. And gave a realistic setting. I’m really happy that the dad didn’t like brush under rug and was honest. But Joe Arden every time

Will definitely be listening again.

I loved this book. I laughed and cried. Felt so much emotion! I will for sure be listening to it again. As always, Joe Arden brings his character to life and you fall head over heels. 💕

Dark hockey romance

Gosh, this book... I am in LOVE! I'm in love with the story, the characters, this author! 𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐋 𝐈 𝐆𝐄𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 is a standalone dark hockey romance by Claire Contreras. I will immediately be buying a paperback copy so I can annotate the crap out of it and get it signed <3.

Lyla James Marichal and Lachlan Duke meet in college. She's a gorgeous brunette wallflower who happens to run into college hockey star, Lachlan, at a party. She's the only girl who won't give him the time of day so naturally he's got to find out everything he can about her.

Characters:
These two give me all the feels. They started in one place and grew in such big ways. I can't say more because I don't want to spoil the plot!

Writing/Listening:
It's a medium paced book at about 600 pages but I'm telling you it's worth it! The length was perfect for everything that happened in the plot and made you fall for these main characters. It's dual POV which is my favorite. Joe Arden is one of my absolute favorite male narrators and he was divine. I really enjoyed Kasha Kensington as well. Although a few times her narrating Lachlan's dialogue during the spicy scenes had me laughing/cringing. Lol Would have been 5/5 on performance if it was duet narration. Diverse author and diverse representation. And let me just say, this book was the perfect blend and amount of spice. PERFECTION!
