loved it.

great characters. fun and kept my interest. looking forward to hearing more from from this author.

wrong narrator

Narrator sounded like a child at times. may have been better with a different narrator.

wrong place, right time

I really enjoyed listening to this book. It had a lot of humor in it and made me laugh. At the same time it touched on some of the realities of life and showed the characters insecurities and vulnerabilities. Good read!

Narrator ruined the experience

The storyline was pretty decent. The narrator's female voices were acceptable. However, her male voices were terrible. She made men described as big, tough, security guards sound like uneducated teenage buffoons! This ruined the oversaw experience with the performance. I cringed every time the fake Louisiana accent was used for the male characters. Wish I had purchased the kindle edition-because I would have enjoyed the story to its full effect.

Story was good, Reader not so much

The Reader, Elizabeth Godley, was nasal and high pitched more often then not. She also used a baby talk voice for characters who were not children, specifically for the heroine's sister. Very annoying. She did read with a lot of energy, her words were clear, and some of her accents where fun.

I mostly liked it, just felt light

This was very much like the first book in the series, it felt like she was flighty and her dialogue was far too immature for her age. There were parts it was fun and snarky and other times she acted like a YA heroine instead of a mother of a few kids.


Now it might seem I did not enjoy the book, that is untrue, I really did like the read. It was a light suspense, super light on the suspense. The romance was a larger portion of the story. It was fun to read and just enough naughty detail to warm things up! Definitely open door bedroom action.

I was in the mood for some junk food, this fit the bill. Nothing taxing and plenty of chuckles.

Elizabeth Godley is the narrator on this second book in the series. She does a great job with all the voices and keeps things distinct. I enjoyed her pace and tone, I could listen to her again. I am going to have to check out her other reads.

I was happy to find this ebook/audio on my Kindle Unlimited borrow list. Good read, especially if you are on a budget.

So funny!!!

I loved this stary. Jenny is so funny and sweet. The charicters in this book were great.

Her books are super cute! The security firm seems unrealistic but the relationships are funny!
