  • Magical Hands, Fascia & Spirituality with Maria Alfieris
    Jul 15 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Growing up, I suffered from an asthmatic condition that impaired my entire life. After years of struggling, by 1984 I found myself in a place of a desperate need to heal. I was attending physical therapy school where I met a fellow student that introduced me to Barbara Brennan's new book at the time, "Hands of Light." The book had a great impact on me and I felt inspired to explore this path to healing. I began studying deep fascia work with all types of practitioners and expanded to other bodywork methods including visceral manipulation with the Barral Institute. After seeing the miracles brought by this line of work, I decided to begin practicing on myself in an attempt to heal my asthmatic condition that had progressively held me back my entire life. I began with a lot of fascia work combined with visceral release on my body. I instantly saw powerful improvements in my ability to let go and deep breathing. Having spent most of my life in the sympathetic response state, shifting to the parasympathetic state through this work brought instant healing and a place of "wellbeing." Seeing the possibilities and power of this transformation inspired me to share this knowledge as I was working in the field of Physical Therapy.I found myself in a Gestalt Psychotherapy study group for four years and studying Cranial Sacral Therapy with the Upledger Institute. I supported my bodywork with spiritual healing through visualization, affirmations and applying principles of "The Course in Miracles."I also began a journey of fasting, colonies, acupuncture and Chinese herbs. All of these efforts allowed me to significantly reduce the dosage of medication I had been on for 23 years. My work evolved to a deeper study of life coaching after joining lyanla Vanzant's two-year Spiritual Life Coaching Program and then eventually the certification program. I integrated life more with working with people with the powerful knowledge I have gained over the years. My years of studying the works, writings and workshops of people like Louise Hay, Marianne Williamson, Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer, Shakti Gawain, lyanla Vanzant, and so many more; I learned one common denominator which was the body's innate healing system kicks in when compassion, persistence, forgiveness and self love are the intention to heal. I am dedicated to using my hands to release people's fascia while empowering them to live from a place of love so we can all have our power back and heal. I am now on a mission to spread my knowledge and show people how to release their stored emotions and negative energy to get on the path to self-love so they can live the happy and joyous life they deserve. ~ Maria Find Maria on Instagram @magicalhandsphysicaltherapy

  • Thrive on a Low Oxalate Diet with Monique Attinger, aka Low Ox Coach
    Jul 8 2024

    Send us a Text Message.

Elizabeth, new to a low oxalate way of eating, and Monique dig into how oxalates may be impacting your vitality! If you are suffering with strange, mysterious symptoms, this lifestyle may be for you. Meet Monique AttingerMonique is a Certified Holistic Nutritionist and known as the Low Oxalate Coach. She discovered oxalate when their trusted ND diagnosed her youngest daughter with an oxalate problem. Their daughter had rashes that looked more like chemical burns; and they were motivated to solve this health riddle! However, she and her husband were not happy about another diet. (She must have been on dozens of them before she ever heard the word “oxalate”). She decided that if her daughter had to be on a special diet that she would go on it with her. That decision changed her life. All of a sudden, she could tell that she was feeling better! She had been dealing with a host of what seemed like unrelated problems: insomnia; low thyroid; digestive issues; constant constipation; low immunity; pain; swelling in my feet and ankles; extremely low energy; and mood issues including irritability and anxiousness. She didn’t just feel unwell. In fact, she remembered saying to her mother that she didn’t know how she could have so little energy and be alive. But then, as her diet changed, she started to feel better. She didn’t need all the digestive enzymes. Her sleep was improving. Her thyroid started working better. She wasn't sick all the time. Her energy increased! All these apparently separate health issues started to improve all at the same time. Could a low oxalate diet help you? She isn't not a doctor; she can’t diagnose. What she can say is that if you have any condition that is chronic or inflammatory, this way of eating may be a great support to any other therapies you are currently using. Reducing oxalate means you reduce a significant inflammatory substance in the body – and well, that can’t hurt!Find Monique on IG: @lowoxcoachWebsite: www.lowoxcoach.com

  • Timeless Cookery with GAPS Coach Emma
    Jul 1 2024
In this enticing episode Elizabeth and Emma break down the “food is medicine” concept. Just as you would put sand in your gas tank to get your car to run, choosing junk, non-foods will keep your body from running optimally. Coach Emma is helping people all over the world feel better using real, whole foods to heal the gut, improve mental health, reduce inflammation , relieve joint and muscle pain to name a few working the the GAPS lifestyle. G (Gut) A (and) P (Psychology) S (Syndrome)10 years ago Emma Goodwin was in an absolute mess. An angry, impatient, bad tempered Mum. She was not enjoying being a parent. By 4pm every day she was FINISHED. No energy, anxious and depressed.By some magical fluke of pure brilliant good luck, she chanced upon the GAPS book. She wept with relief as she turned the pages and recognised herself in that book. She could see her children’s night terrors, ADHD, and endless ear infections as sypmtoms of GUT problems. The book said how to fix everything using food as medicine. Dr Natasha made it sound so easy, but it was not. She was exhausted and had serious brain fog. She felt so weak and useless. She had no energy to cook. She could see the kids health getting worse. She got on with it and started with baby steps. She has created a fantastic GAPS "cooking school" to make help make the transition to healthier living seamless. More recently she authored a book called Bagel Goggles which is a must read. Find GAPS Coach Emma: Instagram @timelesscookery Website: https://timelesscookery.com/
