She has a bachelor's degree in Communication from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a post-bachelor's teaching certificate from the College of St. Scholastica. She graduated with a Master of Science in Teaching from The College of St. Scholastica in May 2015. She’s also Director of Education with the Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce. She lives in Duluth with her husband Andy, and their two boys Maxwell & Mateo.
