Justin is a trailblazer and pioneer, not just in football, but outside of the sport.

Kwame’s chosen historical figure is Jamaican writer and poet, Claude McKay was a central figure in the Harlem Renaissance, and his work heavily influenced a generation of black authors including James Baldwin and Richard Wright.

Hosted by Dr Jak Buela, founder of Nubian Jak, the community trust that creates plaques, memorials and other products to make black history known.


    In this series, Dr Jak speaks to inspiring, creative, aspiring and influential black Londoners, who discuss with Dr Jak their chosen historical figures, and who they feel, should be a part of the Black Plaque Project.
