  • Season 1 Wrap-Up: Embracing Your Self-Awareness Journey with Marc and Claudine Chiarmonte
    Aug 1 2022
It is human nature that we tend to overcomplicate things and overthink consequences before they even happen. These reflect in our actions. With the universe always speaking, we often fail to send the right signals and get answers different from what we hoped.A noisy road full of uncertainty, detours, and distractions - this is how the path that leads to the life we dream of looks. In this episode, we want to paint a picture of how we can make it easier to figure out and where we can start to unravel the threads that wove themselves into our already intricate thinking patterns. The message is crystal clear . We see through our path clearer when we know ourselves inside and out. We can cross our own limitations if we can acknowledge the pains of and nourish the wounded child inside us. Let us learn to humbly accept and appreciate who we are despite the battles we have fought and lost, drop our baggage, pick up the pieces, move forward, and make a new beginning without judging ourselves - just observing and celebrating our small wins. Eventually, our attitude towards ourselves mirrors our relationships and the new ones that we make.  It doesn’t come easy. But it will pay off if we start knowing who we are, what we feel deep down, and what our bodies and souls are longings for. Start feeling and defer the thinking. When we understand what we feel in our body, we send the right message to our brains, and we begin to think and act with better reason. Tune in to this episode as Marc and Claudine serve all the nuggets to wrap Season 1. We have unique stories, walk through different paths, and head toward different destinations. And the only way to strive better is by not judging our progress against others but by being better than who we were yesterday- focusing on being consistent rather than trying to hit the big goals in one blow.Whatever stage you are in your self-awareness journey, the wisdom in this episode will help you begin to understand yourself and let it ripple out one small step at a time.Tune in to another impactful episode of Breakthrough The Ordinary podcast. S1 E50 | Season 1 Wrap-Up: Embracing Your Self-Awareness Journey  with Marc and Claudine Click here to listen to this episode: https://smartpa.ge/bto These are the highlights you wouldn’t want to miss:01:08 - Intro01:46 - Embodiment and body listening04:17 - Appreciation, self-acceptance, and self-acknowledgment07:56 - The questions we can ask to know if we are in alignment with our soul’s purpose10:32 - Alignment, vibration, and manifestation12:42 - Getting help when we get stuck13:21 -  How to act from our intention and realize we always have a CHOICE15:17 - The choice to be in the present moment opens up to better relationships16:32 - How to approach the polarities in our life17:41 - Anticipating and looking at death as a beautiful gift19:40 - Allowing vs. suppressing grief20:50 - Embracing the dark and light inside of us22:28 - Sensuality and the feminine and masculine energies24:45 -Filling the need for intimacy, connection, belongingness, and being touched starts from within25:27 - How to nurture our relationshipsAbout the Hosts:Claudine Chiarmonte PCC, LCSWClaudine is a gifted psychotherapist, coach, speaker, and podcaster with over 27 years of experience in transforming the lives of individuals, families, and clients in Fortune 500 companies.Six years ago, Claudine experienced a near-fatal car accident that awakened her to her purpose. • Connect with Yourself Deeply and Heal Trauma Through Somatic Therapy with Marina Yanay-Triner
    Jul 25 2022
Our brain indeed controls the functions in our body. But do you realize that our body sends signals to our brain? Our mind and body are linked intrinsically, but our mind interprets what initially happens to our body. When a stressful event happens - and by stressful, we mean traumatic - something happens to our body. It can get overwhelmed, freeze, and turn survival mode on. It's not only our brain that keeps track of the event. Instead, our body holds on to memories of trauma, too. And much of the way our brain responds is centered on what happened during a stressful experience in the past.Trauma carries negative thoughts and feelings of deep hurt, feelings of threat, and anger. If these thoughts and feelings aren't released, they become pent-up emotions that live in our cells and get reactivated when similarly stressful situations happen. What happens next is that a feedback loop that continually runs between the mind and body is created. Because of the wrong decisions we make based on a trauma response, we keep getting the wrong results and complain about being stuck in the hamster wheel. That is where Somatic Therapy can help release trapped emotions inside our body structure and its parts.Tune in to this episode as our guest, Marina Yanay-Triner speaks about how Somatic Therapy can help release trapped emotions through a mind-body approach to healing trauma. Tune in to another impactful episode of Breakthrough The Ordinary podcast.S1 E47 | Connect with Yourself Deeply and Heal Trauma Through Somatic Therapy with Marina Yanay-TrinerClick here to listen to this episode: https://smartpa.ge/bto These are the highlights you wouldn’t want to miss:02:01  - (Marina’s breakthrough story) Seeing reality in different ways and learning from different perspectives. 03:45 -  Connecting with our body through feelings, sensations, and emotions.05:41 -  What is somatic work and how does it heal trauma?08:06 - Somatic Therapy methods14:30 -  Understanding our bodily emotions and knowing how to regulate them17:39 -  What to do when you are feeling the onset of anxiety20:58 - Processing and learning from our emotions vs. creating trauma response23:17 -  Healing and moving on from her (Marina) inherited family trauma to embrace her married life.26:18 - Marina’s advice: Use breath work to process and release emotions.About the Guest:Marina Yanay-Triner is the compassionate somatic coach. • Create A Resiliency Plan that Stops Stress and Overwhelm Before They Even Happen with Sheila Robison-Kiss
    Jul 18 2022
“Stress” is an overused and abused term. In fact, we use the term “stress” on a daily basis without regard for the real sense of the word. People use it to describe a range of things from simply annoying instances to extremely triggering situations. Search Google for advice on “How to manage stress and overwhelm?” You will get tons of advice that tell you how to clear or manage the ongoing effects of stress. In the context of mental health, however, there are two essential things. The first comes under the label of “self-awareness.” It is all about knowing the source of stress and overwhelm or the things that pull your triggers. The second is “resilience” or consciously putting the appropriate measures in place to avoid the point of derailment. In our latest episode, we had the chance to speak with an award-winning mental health educator, Sheila Robison-Kiss. What we love about this session is that Sheila was able to squeeze 20 years of experience into an array of value-packed resources in one episode. The tools are meant to equip individuals with the tools for understanding where their stress is coming from, what their triggers are, identifying patterns of behavior, as well as how the “inner child” is playing out in the picture. Sheila also demonstrates how having a resiliency map can avoid total derailment from happening. We invite you to tune in to our latest episode of Breakthrough The Ordinary podcast and walk away with resources that will help make life a little more peaceful. S1 E47 | Create A Resiliency Plan that Stops Stress and Overwhelm Before They Even Happen with Sheila Robison-KissClick here to listen to this episode: https://smartpa.ge/bto These are the highlights you wouldn’t want to miss:02:12 - Sheila’s breakthrough story: Being her God-ordained, authentic self04:07 - How to do an honest audit of yourself: Who are you? and what is your mission?05:46 - Her mission: Supporting individuals in the area of mental health07:19 - Tools to help keep you on a path of balance09:51 - Do this powerful practice to unburden you of pent-up emotions.11:50 -  How to keep things under control with a resilience plan17:21 - Achieving the “inner-child peace” to begin personal  healing and control23:41 - Why you should accept and commit  to mental health healing About the Guest*NJ BIZ Blue Cross Blue Shield Mental Health Educator Awardee 2021*Sheila Robinson-Kiss is an MSNBC featured mental health expert and the author of five books.
