  • Exploring True Love: What Is The Recipe For A Long-Lasting Bond?
    May 22 2023

Jonmichael and Carlie start off the episode in a discussion about true love and its existence. They are both hopeless romantics and believe that true love does exist. They comment on pop culture and how it often portrays people as disposable and that it is difficult to focus on real love with so many distractions.

The conversation is about relationships and how people often take their partners for granted, especially when relationships come to an end. He talks about the importance of understanding what you bring to the table in a relationship and how people often try to find the grass greener on the other side. He also talks about how it's tough to make the decision to break up with someone and how it's important to take responsibility for the emotions that you cause when you make that decision. He finishes the conversation by emphasizing the importance of understanding and healing yourself in order to make a healthy relationship.

True love is a unique bond that connects two people, regardless of the outcome. This bond is not limited to couples, but rather, it can be shared between any two people. Jonmichael suggests that the level of love he has for his children is unmatched and is the truest form of love. He uses the example of his aunt, whose daily routine of drinking 42 ounce commuter mugs of pop is an example of how everyone has something that they use for comfort, which can easily become an addiction. This is a safe space where people can talk about and admit their struggles without judgement. Ultimately, true love is selfless and means wanting the best for the other person, no matter what.

  • How Relationships Impact Success: Don't Jump In Too Fast
    May 15 2023

JonMichael Long and Carlie Price are in the new JMG podcast studio, discussing how relationships, such as boyfriends and girlfriends, spouses, and marriages, can affect someone's success in business. They have done research on this topic and can relate to it from their own life experiences. They discuss how relationships can have both positive and negative effects on success in business and how important it is to have a good balance between the two.

In this conversation, they are discussing the concept of giving too much too soon, both in relationships and in business. In personal relationships, people often jump head over heels in the honeymoon phase, giving all of their time and energy to the other person. This can lead to an imbalance in the relationship, as the other person may become used to the constant attention and care. In business, giving too much too soon can mean providing everything for free, rather than giving clients a taste of what you can do for them. They suggests a different approach, where one meets someone new and doesn't jump head over heels in the relationship. This allows for a more balanced relationship and prevents one from becoming too attached too quickly.

JonMichael and Carlie discuss not diving into a relationship too fast. Carlie gives the example of her own tendency to become overly invested too quickly and how that can lead to disappointment. JonMichael then goes on to explain that it is better to take things slowly, such as putting your toes in the water to test the temperature before jumping in. They suggest taking things as a building block and to not become overly committed from the start, as it can be a shock to the system in the end. They also suggest not giving away all of your services from the beginning, as this can lead to a lack of boundaries. The conversation ends by emphasizing the importance of taking things slow and building a relationship up over time.

They are discussing the idea of taking a slower approach to building relationships with potential business partners. They reference the idea of courtship and how relationships are often rushed in the present day. They then draw a comparison to the dating scene and how people are hooking up faster than before, which can lead to disappointment. They emphasize the importance of taking the time to learn and appreciate all the things that make the big project successful. They then suggest that it is important to take the time to slowly build a relationship and not rush into a big project just because of the competition.

  • Exploring Power Dynamics And Manipulation In Relationships
    Mar 29 2023

Jonmichael and Carlie begin to discuss the concept of power and how it can be used in a variety of ways. They discuss how a lack of power can lead to a feeling of being stuck, and the thought of who's running things if I'm not in power. This leads to the discussion of how feeling powerless can lead to manipulation because of someone else's need for control and power.

Jonmichael discusses how in relationships, the person who cares the least has the most control. This is a form of manipulation as the person is aware of their partner's emotions and can use them to their advantage. Jonmichael then references a past experience where they were able to manipulate a situation to make it seem as though it was their boss' idea, and they were able to get their way. The conversation highlights how people can use manipulation to get what they want in relationships, and how it is possible to use someone else's idea or emotions to your advantage.

JM and Carlie discusses how people manipulate others to get what they want. They discuss how people repackage their agenda in order to get people to take the bait, and how this can lead to anxiety and depression as well as a loss of self-perception. They also talk about how manipulation begins in childhood, as children learn how to manipulate their parents to get what they want. They emphasize the importance of being aware of the costs of manipulation and how it can lead to a lack of vulnerability in relationships. They also share personal stories of how they have experienced manipulation on both sides.

Carlie discusses how in a personal relationship, both parties have a certain power over each other due to the knowledge of each other's vulnerabilities. This can be used for manipulation in an argument, where one person can use their knowledge to press the other person's hot buttons to shut down the conversation or distract them from the topic. This can lead to the person whose buttons were pushed feeling out of control and questioning their own sanity. It is a reminder to be aware of the power dynamics in any relationship.

  • "No Lonely Hearts" Discuss Authenticity And Branding While Touring Nationwide
    Mar 24 2023

Jonmichael and Michael McGovern, hosts of the Be Organic podcast, are excited to have No Lonely Hearts back in the studio. They have four shows under their belt, two in Ohio and two in Orlando. They are excited to continue the tour with their next stop being New York Fashion week. They haven't been told where they will be performing yet, but they are looking forward to the surprise. They are also enjoying the warm weather in Orlando, which allows their vocals to stay in great shape.

NLH talk about their upcoming release of a single called Special Treatment. They discuss how they have to make sure that nobody finds out about it before they can release it. They then talk about the tour they are currently on and the recording of the new song. They also talk about recording a music video and how they turned one of the rooms in their house into a house party themed video. They joke about why JMG wasn't invited to the house party, and the conversation concludes with both of them laughing.

The conversation is centered around the idea of authenticity and how it is important to be unapologetically true to yourself in all aspects of life, especially when you are in the public eye. They discuss the example of an internet influencer who is well-known but is inauthentic, and how this can be a negative influence on people, especially young people. They emphasize the importance of speaking to the right people, rather than trying to please everyone, as this will allow for a deeper connection and more meaningful conversations. They also mention the role of TikTok and YouTube in allowing for more freedom in expressing one's opinions and beliefs, and how this is in contrast to the more restrictive rules of other platforms. Finally, they emphasize the importance of speaking one's truth, even if it may be uncomfortable, as it is the only way to truly find those who identify with and resonate with you.

Jonmichael, Michael, and the No Lonely Hearts band members discusses the importance of staying true to oneself in a situation where the public sees them as a brand instead of individuals. The members of the band talk about how difficult it can be to remain authentic and true to oneself when one's identity is constantly under scrutiny and pressure to conform. They discuss how they try to remain authentic to their individual personalities, instead of trying to fit into a brand identity. They express the need to stay true to themselves and not try to be someone else, as each member of the band has their own unique personality and persona. Ultimately, the conversation emphasizes the importance of remaining true to oneself in the face of societal pressure and expectations.

  • Breaking Free From The Shackles Of Stagnation: How To Overcome Feeling Stuck!
    Mar 22 2023

Jonmichael and Carlie are discussing what it feels like to be stuck in life. Jonmichael speaks of the feeling of being stuck and how it feels like depression taking hold, with it being a season for some and feeling that lasts decades for others. Carlie adds on to this, noting how information is coming to people so quickly, making them feel as if they are behind in their twenties. They agree that canceled culture can devalue progress, as people will be forever cast aside for one sin from the past. They end their conversation by discussing how it feels to be stuck in relationships, jobs, and other situations. In conclusion, they emphasize the importance of not letting oneself feel stuck, but rather to take action and make a change for the better.

JM and Carlie talk about the feeling of being stuck in life, which is common among the 30-50 age group. Jonmichael has been listening to people who feel stuck in their relationships, marriages, and jobs, and wonders how this has happened. JM then suggests that the feeling of being stuck comes from not having achieved certain goals. They also suggest that the new generation of people have a different outlook on life, and are more aware of their goals for the future. The conclusion is that when those goals are not met, the feeling of being stuck sets in.

Jonmichael and Carlie discuss the issue of complacency, or being stuck in a situation without the courage or resources to create change. They suggest making pros and cons lists to help validate whether or not one is in an autopilot situation and whether it is okay to stay in the situation. They provide examples of how this could be applied to all areas of life, such as financial, relationships, and job situations. They also talk about how their expectations of themselves in their twenties did not necessarily match up with reality. Ultimately, they suggest that making a pros and cons list can help to assess the current situation and make decisions about whether or not to stay in the circumstances.

JM and Carlie focus on the idea of a sliding moral scale, where people often make decisions based on how the pros and cons balance out. It questions the idea of when the scale tips and it's time to make a change. This leads to a discussion on the importance of being present and having control of one's time, and how these factors can shift as people grow and evolve. Ultimately, the conversation stresses the importance of seeking out relationships that promote growth, rather than allowing one's life to become imbalanced due to financial gain or power.

  • Exploring Canceled Culture Trends And Fads Through The Decades
    Mar 13 2023

On this episode, they cover how cultural norms have changed from the early 2000s to the present day. They discuss what has driven these changes, what constitutes a fad, why certain trends become popular, and why they eventually fade away. They also talk about how the trend of cancel culture has led to people feeling ousted from society if they make one mistake from the past. They suggest that this can lead to a decreased willingness to change in order to avoid being cancelled.

In the last few years, cultural norms have changed due to the pressures of race, politics, COVID, and other issues. People are more focused on certain aspects of life that may have not been as prevalent before. It's documented now more than ever, and this has put us in a unique position. We live in a time where people feel a lot of pressure to be politically correct and sensitive, but at the same time, there are many things that have become public that would not have been before. This has created an interesting dynamic, where it can be difficult to know what is acceptable to say.

Carlie and Jonmichael, discuss the difficulties of being a parent in today's world, where cultural influences have changed and the concept of an influencer is commonplace. They agree that although people-pleasing is often tempting, it is important to draw a line between accepting people and promoting behavior that goes against their moral and ethical values. They also talk about the balance between being a parent and a friend, and how it is important to be open and honest with their children about their past experiences. Furthermore, they emphasize the importance of being aware of what is influencing their children and creating open dialogues about it, so that their kids can learn from them rather than from unreliable sources.

The conversation continues about fads from the 1980s and 1990s that have influenced people's aspirations and body image, and how these trends still have an effect today. Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Alexa were mentioned as people the speakers looked up to when they were nine. They discussed the pegging of jeans, and the rap group Chris Cross and how they wore their jeans backwards and bibs, which caused the speakers to wear their jeans backwards too. The conversation then moved to why these trends were made up and why people ended up doing them.

  • Discovering Your Purpose: How Change Influences Goals And Purpose icon
    Feb 20 2023

Jonmichael and Carlie discuss the concept of purpose and how it relates to change. They explain that purpose is derived from the experiences and circumstances that shape a person. They suggest that this purpose can be used to guide one’s decisions and actions and to help others who have gone through similar experiences. They argue that understanding and embracing one’s purpose can result in a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Ultimately, they encourage listeners to take the time to discover their own purpose and to use it as a guide for their future.

Jonmichael shared his story and how it has molded him into the person he is today. He mentioned having the word “purpose” tattooed on his ribs as a reminder of why he has been given the opportunity to live, as he was previously near death. He then discussed the platform that he has been given and how he uses it for a purpose, helping others to realign their lives and relationships. He believes that his story can help others and that this is his purpose in life.

The conversation starts with the idea of finding one's purpose and how to hone in on it. It then moves to how changes in life can affect one's purpose and how to deal with roadblocks that come along the way. The idea of being one's own CEO and treating oneself as a brand is then discussed, with the idea that one should be saying no to things that do not support one's mission. The conversation concludes with the idea that change is a guarantee in life. In conclusion, the conversation touches on the idea of finding one's purpose, being able to identify with it and making necessary changes in order to stay aligned with it.

The conversation explored the topic of midlife crisis and the difficulty of figuring out one's purpose in life. It was noted that everyone will go through hardship and that the only way to persevere is if it aligns with one's purpose. It was suggested that goals should be distinguished from opportunities, as opportunities may not align with one's goal and purpose. It was recommended to ask oneself what their eight year old self would cry about if they knew what was true about them now, as it helps to get in touch with one's passions. It was concluded that purpose can be felt when one is able to enjoy something that they are good at and that can help other people or help them become a better version of themselves. Finally, it was noted that some people may not have a purpose and need to adapt to change in order to find it.

  • How To Adapt To Change And Grow Emotionally
    Feb 13 2023

In this episode, Carlie and Jonmichael discuss how to deal with change. Change is inevitable and it can be positive or negative. Most people don't handle change well and may even prefer the predictability of an unhappy situation to the uncertainty of change. The hosts discussed how change can be daunting and how it affects the mind and body. They concluded that change can be a challenging experience, but it can also bring positive outcomes. Carlie and Jonmichael talk about the feeling of being out of control when faced with change. It was pointed out that people often have a negative response to change as it can be uncomfortable. An example of this was given in the form of someone who frequents the same restaurant, ordering the same steak every time because it is predictable and always turns out the way they want it. It is also noted that if this person's go-to meal was taken off the menu, they would no longer go to the restaurant. This shows how many people are on autopilot and like to stick to what they know. This conversation focuses on the idea of change in life and how the brain is hardwired to conserve energy by staying in predictable situations. It is suggested that many people feel bored and under stimulated in their relationships and their lives, but lack the skills to make a change. The suggestion is made that people become underwhelmed when reality does not measure up to their expectations. This lack of knowledge and skills can paralyze people in their situation and many do not realize they need help. It is discussed how the brain works against us and how it can be trained to coach the brain. It is suggested that having an order to one’s life, such as following a procedure for work or for children, can bring structure and help people break out of their expectations. The conversation also mentions how sudden changes, such as job changes or divorce, can throw people into “whirlwinds of change” where they are not equipped to deal with the situation. It is suggested that having a strategy can help in these situations and provide the order needed to move forward.
