For the second part of this series, Coach John Wooden reminds us “when you set too challenging a goal, you set yourself up for failure.” Again, it’s the small changes that are key. This is not saying to not have BIG goals and plans, but… keep in mind the process (the little steps) to get there. Little steps help us to keep the good habits going for a longer period of our lives. Keep working. Keep believing. New one coming at you tomorrow. Thanks for listening. • John Wooden Building Healthy Habits - 1 of 8 - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1750

Found another series to share for you. When I ran across this from the book: “Coach Wooden's Greatest Secret: The Power of a Lot of Little Things Done Well”, by Pat Williams with Jim Denney. It’s all about building healthy habits. Find a link for the book HERE. (you can find it in many different places) It starts off by reminding us that the best way to replace a bad habit is to replace it with a good habit. These eight parts remind us that it’s tough to try and simply get rid of a bad habit by willpower alone. What I’m sharing with you starting today is all about principles to keep in mind as we replace unhealthy habits with good habits. The first is to focus on little things. Instead of making huge changes in our lives, find small manageable tasks to focus on that lead us to the changes we want. I have always looked ahead a bit too much to the ending that I want. Then it becomes difficult, challenging and frustrating because my focus is not on the first step I need to take, but what’s at the finish line. The more I read these, the more fired up I got. I hope this happens to you as well during the next few episodes. Thanks for listening. • Never Trust Your Fears - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 12-19-25 #1749
    Dec 19 2025

Super powerful and inspiring post I found from Motivational Quotes (@motivational) “Never trust your fears; they don’t know your strength.” WOW… did I need to connect with this. My fears have had more of a driver’s seat in my life than I care to admit and in driving “my bus”, when picking up my strengths at the different bus stops - many times they force my strengths to sit in the back of the bus or they never even stopped to pick them up!! It’s time for me to stop my bus (my life’s journey) - not totally kick my fears off the bus because they are who I am in many ways. Maybe just have them sit in a seat behind me - buckled in… keep a few seats around them open for now so they don’t influence “anyone else”. Life’s journey is never dull when you take a look at yourself in the mirror and find the MANY things to keep working on to improve. So many things get better when we try to improve and be the best we can be! Thanks for listening. Dec 18 2025

Found a great post and a great reminder for all of us - coming from Words of Wise | Mindset Coach (@Wordofwise_) and it’s this: “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.” What a powerful and real reminder for each of us. Life is a constant journey and if we can focus on one moment at a time, with becoming the best we can be in mind - WOW… our life can be amazing!! Thanks for listening. • It's On The Other Side - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 12-17-25 #1747
    Dec 17 2025

I came across a simple yet powerful post - it’s been around awhile I think too, but it’s still as important as ever for all of us to digest this one. It’s from Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard) and the reminder is this: “The life you want is on the other side of discomfort. No shortcuts. No guarantees. Just decisions.” Yep… a short and simple reminder, yet for me, it’s difficult to keep it simple. It all comes down to choices. I need to continue working on mine all the time as there is great room for growth with some of the choices I make every day!! Thanks for listening. • True Greatness - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 12-16-25 #1746
    Dec 16 2025

I found a post from one of my favorite character actors from my childhood - Anson Williams, who played Potsie from the awesome show “Happy Days”. This post centered around the tragedy of Rob Reiner and his wife being killed over this past weekend. It also brings to mind the sad and troubling examples of violence & evil with two high profile shootings this past weekend as well. It brings a reminder (sadly every day it seems we are being reminded) that the world needs to do better. What I mean by that is the people of the world need to do better. Anson’s quote he shares coming from Rob is this: “True greatness isn’t just what you create — it’s how you lift everyone around you while doing it.” I know that if we examine a little deeper about what we are doing here with our time on earth, what our calling, purpose, burn, etc., is; along with how what we are doing affects other people. Is it helping them or hurting them? Is it encouraging or discouraging? Is it lifting others up, or constantly putting them down? Is it making this world a better place or making it worse along with our legacy? We can do better. We must do better. I’m first in line looking to do better AND knowing I have to. I have plenty of room to improve in so many ways. How about you? Thanks for listening. • Overthinking - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 12-15-25 #1745
    Dec 15 2025

I came across this post that really got me thinking about overthinking. From Words of Wise | Mindset Coach (@Wordofwise_) comes (at least to me) a new way of “overthinking” things. It was shared: “If you’re going to overthink, at least overthink all the ways it could work out in your favor, the best case scenario, and every version of your life that turns out better than expected.” This is something I need to look at and also start doing in my life. Looking at things with a bit more optimism. Interesting thoughts. It would be cool to hear your thoughts about this one. Let me know. Thanks for listening. • Lessons From 2 Leaders - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1744
    Dec 15 2025

I found an awesome post from Jon Gordon (@JonGordon11) and it’s a powerful and much needed reminder that all of us have the ability to be a leader in life. Find his site HERE. In case you have not noticed, the world needs us more than ever! He reminds us: “You are a leader!” You may not have a title. You may not have people report to you. Maybe you never thought of yourself as a leader. But I’m here to tell you that if you live a life of integrity… If you show others what discipline, consistency and devotion look like… If you encourage someone today… If people know you believe in them… If you lend someone a helping hand… If you lift someone up with your words… If you coach a friend through a challenging situation… If you solve a client’s problem… If you guide a customer in the right direction… If you hold your friends accountable… If you get a child to eat their vegetables… If you love, serve and care…If you impact the life of another human being… You are a leader! Lead well! Lead Positive!” Such a powerful post with powerful examples for all of us. I shared this post with this thought: “Amazing truth here … many so-called / self-described “leaders” are out there needing to take lessons from real leaders, real people… integrity / character shine so brightly for those that “… love, serve and care…”! We need more of this!” It astounds me that we have so many people with titles that think they are leaders, yet they simply make things worse for others and certainly don’t look to serve others. Once again, that’s why we all have the ability to make a difference in this world. The funeral service I went to this past weekend… a 19 year old girl… was a difference maker on so many levels!
