  • This Is What Matters - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 2-9-26 #1793
    Feb 9 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

I found a post from Vala Afshar (@ValaAfshar) where he shared a clip from the incredible Mr. Rogers. See the clip HERE. A gentle reminder for all: “We just don't get to be competent human beings without a lot of different investments from others. Think about those who have helped you become who you are today. What really matters is helping others win too.” —Fred Rogers This got me thinking about so much that we all have connections to. The people in our lives - the ones that made a difference with me, I’m grateful for all of them. There are so many people out there that forget this fact. They are the ones that think they did a lot on their own and we all need to remember where we came from and the people that helped us and walked our pathway with us. It’s time for us to keep working on ourselves so we can keep helping others win too! IT sure beats tearing others down, making fun of others and looking to do things to cause problems for others. Come on people - we all need to be better!! Thanks for listening. • The Silent Engine - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1792
    Feb 9 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

I found this gem from Reads with Ravi (@readswithravi) and it is a short, yet powerful thought… “Consistency is the silent engine of extraordinary results.” Every day. Every way to just keep going!! It’s one of those things that again, nobody has to know about what you are doing or how often you are doing them. Those that love you will know without you even telling them. It’s a reminder to me to keep doing what I have to do every day. It’s a choice to keep showing up to do the things I know I have to do. It’s my honor to keep being my best in being a dad, husband, son, uncle, brother, etc. I can’t take any of those roles for granted. Wow.. love this thought! Something to carry with us wherever we go!! Thanks for listening. • How You Show Up - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Fri. 2-6-26 #1791
    Feb 6 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

I came across something from Coach AJ - Mental Fitness (@coachajkings) where he was responding to (@readswithravi) and it all connected with Coach John Wooden. Coach AJ’s thoughts were this - “Successful people take ownership of their actions, attitude, and effort. John Wooden said, "Don't whine. Don't complain. Don't make excuses." "Get out there and whatever you're doing, do it to the best of your ability." You can't control everything - But you can control how you show up.” All of these things got me so fired up when I read them. I know I need to be WAY better in showing up in every part of my life!! But then, I’ve shown up decently over the years in my life. My younger self … little 10 year old John Daly is proud of me in so many ways. He’s been along for this ride for a long time!! I need to keep it up because I know it’s worth it!! You can apply this to what you got going on! Thanks for listening. • The Language of Gratitude - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Thurs. 2-5-26 #1790
    Feb 5 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

Another gem from Inky Johnson (@inkyjohnson) and he shares his thoughts about “The language of GRATITUDE!” Check out the clip HERE. He opens up with a very strong thought that I’ve never made a connection to! If we forget the language of gratitude - we will never be on speaking terms with happiness. Focusing on the things I’m grateful for - every single day - that helps to keep depression, emotional downturns, feeling bad about myself, getting worked up about my worries and the worries of the world - they cannot exist in a grateful heart! Inky’s whole thought about gratitude “recalibrates” us and puts us in the right spot to be better, do better, listen better, learn better, etc. In today’s world - I need that for sure!! How about you?? Do me and yourself, a favor. Go out there and get connected with Inky Johnson. Thanks for listening. • See Something Beautiful - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Wed. 2-4-26 #1789
    Feb 4 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

Came across the gem that I plan on actually using later today when I go out to run some errands. It comes from TeacherGoals (@teachergoals) The intro they shared is: “Love this!” - “When you see something beautiful in someone, tell them. It may take a second to say, but for them it could last a lifetime.” This is so spot on. I’ve been trying to say things to people when I come across something that I see about them. Good service. A smile. An act of kindness that I witness them doing. A compliment to share with them. Etc., it’s all something that the world needs more of. I need to hold myself accountable to do this when I go out later today. Thanks for listening. • Ratchet Up Your Passion - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Tues. 2-3-26 #1788
    Feb 3 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

Reading my every day Kindle post from John Maxwell’s “Daily Reader” and this one hit home for today. It’s all about "Ratchet Up Your Passion!” He starts out with a powerful question - What makes it possible for people who might seem ordinary to achieve great things? The answer is passion. He also shares 4 truths about passion. One, Passion is the first step to achievement. Two, Passion increases your Will-power. Three, Passion changes you, and Four, Passion Makes the Impossible Possible! This is something I tried to remind my students about all through my teaching career. It’s something I remind myself about and other adults too - as it’s a life-long quest to keep every day we have, somehow connected to things that we are fired up about. All of this comes from John Maxwell’s book, “The 21 Indispensable Qualities of a Leader.” I am reminded to keep investing in myself and the things that light my soul on fire! That’s a powerful life if we can keep these things going! Thanks for listening. • Don't Be Impressed - Daily Thought With Coach Daly - Mon. 2-2-26 #1787
    Feb 2 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

Mondays are great days! Early on in my life, even before I became a teacher, I tried to have a special / different connection to Mondays compared to others. Today’s Daily Thought is something that I feel super connected to. From Deep Psychology (@DeepPsycho_HQ) comes this life gem: “Don’t be impressed by money, followers, degrees and titles. Be impressed by kindness, integrity, humility and generosity.” In today’s world sadly, so many people are following the first part of this. Also, the lies, greed, lack of character, lack of responsibility, blaming others, etc., that go along with this mindset. I know I’m trying to take on more of the second part of this along with; encouragement, love, empathy, character, etc., and so many other positive traits. Sad to say, I have friends and family that are living on the first part - the crumbling part of things in life as they think everything is about winning at all costs and mixing it with the political sess-pool of today. I’m reminding myself that I love them more than I hate the person(s) and things going on with them in our country today. I also know that I need to live my life, build my life and connect more of these building blocks that are built on character, truth, etc., with people and not just flap my gums at things. One of so many reasons why I really enjoy psychology, learning and reading books …. And I know I need to connect with this even more!! Thanks for listening. • Everything You Do - Motivation Monday Game Plan - #1786
    Feb 2 2026

    “Send Coach John a message”

Found a fired up thought from Psyche Wizard (@PsycheWizard) where it’s a simple & powerful reminder that I know I needed to see. “Everything you do, comes back to you. Do good, be good.” I need to keep doing good. Being good. Doing better. Be Better. In EVERY THING I DO! So much of my life is changing (heck, all life is changing, all the time, every single day). But since I have a front row seat on my roller coaster in my life, these are the things I know I need to keep working on. Hopefully you see the opportunities to work on things while you are riding your roller coaster. Remember how motivation is not permanent, that is why we need to keep working on it every day! This thought helps me for sure to do that and I hope it offers you some help too. Thanks for listening.
