  • Ep.150 I Deciding to Have Your Last Bad Day: Your Thoughts Shape Your Experiences w/ Michael O’Brien
    Jul 17 2024
What would happen if you did a gratitude practice before opening each meeting? Are mindfulness practices a fluffy waste of time? Michael O’Brien suffered a personal tragedy that caused him to reset how he thinks about his beliefs, and how he utilizes his energy in daily life. Today, he shares the power of recognizing that everything in life is neutral until we label it…and how the labels we choose shape our perceptions. KEY TOPICS Why leaders struggle to celebrate their wins (and what to do about it.) How implementing mindfulness into daily routines increases productivity. The consequences our minds and bodies face when we approach life with pessimism. How to stop self-sabotaging your days. • Ep.148 I Deciding to be a Freak: How Flaunting Weakness Captivates Customers with David Rendall
    Jul 3 2024
Are you scared to appear too “out there” in your branding? Are you worried that standing out will make you appear gimmicky? Are you hiding from your authentic self, afraid you’ll turn people off? In trying to appeal to everybody, you’ll appeal to nobody. David Rendall, author of The Freak Factor, recommends flaunting flaws instead of denying them in a world where we’re trained to “fix” our weaknesses. KEY TOPICS Being memorable to attract attention and opportunities. Be cautious of unsolicited advice and consider the source before accepting it. Attracting the right audience and repel the wrong audience by being authentic. Pre-deciding, rather than making impulsive choices in the moment.
