  • Pivoting to Purpose: Laura Khalil’s Path to Entrepreneurial Success
    Aug 15 2024

In this episode of "Determined to Succeed," Dawn Mullarney, also known as the Unique Connector, interviews Laura Khalil from Brave by Design. Laura candidly shares her journey from being an independent consultant for Fortune 500 companies to transitioning into public speaking in 2018, a move she initially underestimated. However, the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in March 2020 forced her to reevaluate her career when all her speaking engagements were abruptly canceled. Struggling with depression and uncertainty, Laura had to find a new direction, ultimately realizing her passion for coaching others on growing their consulting businesses. Despite hitting rock bottom, she persevered, redefined her goals, and found immense gratification in helping hundreds of people achieve financial freedom through their own businesses.

Throughout the discussion, Laura emphasizes the importance of embracing long-term vision and persistence in business. She highlights the necessity of surrounding oneself with like-minded individuals who are already where one aspires to be, rather than relying on family or friends who may prioritize safety over growth. Laura advises focusing on providing value and results rather than equating work with the amount of time spent. By leveraging her "Elevate Framework," Laura has guided her clients to achieve significant business success, including securing high-value contracts while maintaining a balanced work schedule. Her story underscores the significance of resilience, adaptability, and genuine connection in achieving sustained success.
