  • Pocono: Denny Hamlin To Win…Ship It
    Jul 11 2024

Steve Letarte is happy after Alex Bowman’s victory in Chicago because now The Professor owes him dinner in Phoenix.

Steve explains how different strategies will come into play this weekend at Pocono. The Professor breaks down his predictor. At the top all alone in tier 1 is Denny Hamlin. In tier 2 is: Kyle Larson, Chase Elliott, William Byron, Brad Keselowski, and Martin Truex Jr. While Keselowski is in tier 2, Steve isn’t a big fan of him this weekend. One of the reasons is he doesn’t believe in the Fords.

While odds aren’t great for Hamlin since he is the favorite, Tampa Timms believes he has to be on your card. Steve thinks the play for Hamlin might be group bets.

If you’re looking for a bet that you’ll know if you won or lost real fast, Michael McDowell vs Austin Cindric in qualifying is your bet. And the guys believe the books have it wrong.

It might be tough for Alex Bowman to repeat, but a top 10 might be a smart play. One driver that needs to win that has Tampa Timms' attention is Bubba Wallace.

Can Erik Jones make it nine top 10s in 13 races at Pocono? The Professor and Tampa Timms think it’s possible.

The show has been fading RCR this year, which means they are taking Trackhouse vs RCR in a matchup bet.

The guys also chat about drivers finishing position and a quick preview of the Xfinity race.

  • Can SVG Repeat In Chicago?
    Jul 3 2024

NASCAR is returning to Chicago this weekend for street course racing and the defending champion is Shane Van Gisbergen. This time the books have him listed pre-practice as the favorite, unlike last year. But, can he repeat? One driver The Professor is higher on than the books is Chris Buescher. Tampa Timms agrees as a driver to win, but he also likes betting him for top-5.

Justin Haley and Rick Ware Racing have impressed everyone lately, and Tampa Timms thinks he could be a sleeper for a top-10 at +360. Kyle Busch hasn’t had the best season so far, but this race could be one that jumpstarts his season.

Carson Hocevar enters the weekend a little lighter as NASCAR fined him 50k for wrecking Harrison Burton last weekend and Steve Letarte reacts to the decision.

The top-10 parlays have caught Tampa Timms’ eye this weekend. The one he has circled is William Byron and Chris Buescher at +230.

SVG isn’t a full-time Cup driver and Steve thinks after last year the Cup guys are going to race him a little harder. While SVG is a fan favorite, Reddick vs SVG in qualifying is a bet Tampa Timms liked so much that he placed it mid-pod. Reddick is getting plus money so if you like that number act now. Another matchup they looked at was Ross Chastain vs. Ryan Blaney.

The guys once again are looking at average finishing position. Drivers you can bet on are Christopher Bell, Tyler Reddick, Brad Keselowski, Ty Gibbs & AJ Allmendinger.

The guys also take a look at the Xfinity before Steve gives the floor to producer Travis who has some Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest bets.

  • Nashville: Longshot Top 10’s, RCR Struggles & HMS's Weekend
    Jun 27 2024

NASCAR is off to Nashville this weekend, and Steve Letarte discusses why tires might be more important than usual. Tampa Timms isn’t in love with the favorites this weekend, but he does have his eyes on Chase Elliott. Kyle Busch continues to struggle.

Corey Heim is racing for 23XI this weekend, but the books have bad numbers for him.

Erik Jones at +1100 and Ryan Preece at +2700 are two longshots top 10’s Travis and Timms are looking at. Can Ricky Stenhouse Jr. find himself in the top 10 for the second consecutive week?

The bets that have the guy's attention the most is average finishing position. Drivers that you can bet on this weekend are Corey LaJoie, Austin Dillon, Bubba Wallace, Ross Chastain & Harrison Burton.

Denny Hamlin is having one of the worst stretches of racing in a couple of years. But he’s won the last three races on concrete. Letarte thinks this is a rebound weekend and you better have Hamlin on your betting slip.

Xfinity has a stacked field this week with eight drivers racing in Xfinity and Cup. However, Letarte says bet Ty Gibbs or John Hunter Nemechek. Plus, Clint Bowyer makes his return this weekend racing in the Truck Series.

  • Loudon: Are The Books Sleeping on Chase Elliott?
    Jun 20 2024

Steve Letarte and the boys are back after a successful weekend betting on the U.S. Open thanks to the heater Tampa Timms was on. NASCAR is headed to New Hampshire this weekend, and Christopher Bell is the heavy favorite in the Xfinity race. But Tampa Timms has his eyes on someone else to cash him a winning bet.

Steve explains why track position is important for the Cup race on Sunday. Stewart-Haas Racing announced this is their final season and the guys discuss if it’s time to start fading them. Or is there still value in betting on them to finish in the top 10?

Steve and the Professor have a friendly wager on Alex Bowman winning one race this year. This weekend, he sits at 60-1 odds, and Tampa Timms has already fired off a bet for him to win. He has also been a top-10 machine, and Tampa Timms is hoping that continues. The Professor believes Bubba Wallace at 40-1 odds to win is a better bet.

Another driver the guys think could end up in victory lane is Brad Keselowski.

Are the sportsbooks sleeping on Chase Elliott?

It’s been three weeks since Toyota has won a race. Steve thinks this could be the weekend. One bet he loves is the number of Toyota's in the top 10.

The guys also chat about drivers winning a stage and the race, drivers to complete 150 laps and more.

  • Focusing on the Favorites in Iowa, Betting on Tiger Woods, & Betting on NFL Team Win Totals
    Jun 12 2024

NASCAR returns to Iowa this weekend, and Steve Letarte and the boys handicap the field. Christopher Bell, Brad Keselowski, and Kyle Larson were the three drivers to test at Iowa, and for that reason, those three are big threats to win on Sunday.

The Professor breaks down his model and doesn’t see the race exactly how Las Vegas sees it. One driver the model loves is Bubba Wallace, but Tampa Timms can’t get behind that. Alex Bowman’s streak of top-10’s end but Steve could see it starting back up again this weekend.

Is Ryan Blaney too cold to bet on to win? And is Chase Elliott about to get hot?

If Keselowski is a favorite to win, Chris Buescher being his teammate also makes him a threat. One driver not expected to win but could be a longshot top-10 is Chase Briscoe.

For some reason, the books have Elliott as a massive underdog against Bell, and the guys don’t understand why.

The guys also take a look at team bets, top manufacturer driver, and average finishing position.

Plus, The U.S. Open begins Thursday morning, and the guys have lots of bets. Scottie Scheffler is the best golfer right now, and a first-round top-20 is one bet. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods returns, and Steve is expecting a solid first round. Tampa Timms has a massive parlay, and The Professor, who is new to gambling, reads off the grocery-size list of bets he has.

  • Sonoma: Another Surprise Winner Coming?
    Jun 6 2024

The first round of The Denny Hamlin Bracket Challenge had some surprise upsets. None bigger than Austin Dillon knocking off the two seed, Martin Truex Jr. With that upset, Tampa Timms came dressed in Austin Dillon gear to pay off his bet.

NASCAR is headed to Sonoma this weekend, and it’s hard to tell what to expect. With the new re-paved road course, The Professor explains why practice and qualifying are important to watch this weekend.

The Professor also breaks down his predictor model. In tier one is: Chase Elliott, Tyler Reddick, Martin Truex Jr., William Byron, and Christopher Bell. Tampa Timms agrees with these drivers being at the top but explains why he won’t bet on any of them to win pre-race.

Last week, Austin Cindric got his first win of the season, and Steve believes that could be the start of summer races won by first-time winners this year. One driver who hasn’t won a points race this year but everyone believes Vegas gave out a bad line on is Joey Logano at +4500, and Tampa Timms will be betting that pre-race.

A longshot for a top-10 is Justin Haley at +350. The guys have their eyes on Bubba Wallace and Brad Keselowski as possible top-10 bets also.

While it’s hard to handicap who might win, Steve believes this race is perfect for matchup bets. The number one head-to-head bet on his list is William Byron (-115) vs Ty Gibbs (-115).

The guys also discuss why the drivers who tested at Sonoma have an advantage and whether a driver could win stages 1 or 2 and the race.

Plus, The Memorial Tournament in Dublin, Ohio, began on Thursday, and the guys have a couple of bets.

  • Is This The Week To Bet On Martin Truex Jr.?
    May 30 2024

Although many people were unhappy about the Coca-Cola 600 being shortened due to rain, Tampa Timms didn't mind. The NASCAR Cup Series is headed to Gateway this week, and The Professor goes through his model. At the top is Martin Truex Jr., who is searching for his first win of the season. Rounding out tier 1 is: Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin, and Ryan Blaney. One driver not at the top that Tampa Timms has his eyes on to bet on winning is Brad Keselowski.

Denny Hamlin has finished in the top 5 in the last four races, and Tampa Timms is betting on him to continue that streak. Another driver he will bet on once again is Alex Bowman for a top-10 finish at plus money.

The guys are then joined by Nick Giffen from the Action Network to find out who he likes to win or, at the very least, finish in the top 10.

The Denny Hamlin Bracket Challenge is back for the second year. The guys pick who will win but also go through the entire bracket, discussing possible sleepers, upsets, and a whole lot more.

Producer Travis is thinking about pulling the trigger on Truex Jr. to finish as the top Toyota at +400, while Tampa Timms has a couple of possible bets for the top Ford finisher.
