While this may not appear like a victory on the surface, it gives FSU an advantage as their lawsuit in Florida may move faster than the one in North Carolina. FSU has an advantage in their home state, with Judge Cooper in Leon County now having the opportunity to process the case more quickly. Favorable outcomes in Florida could influence precedent in North Carolina or it could move the ACC to settle with FSU more quickly.
