Donald Trump, Jr. interviewed Vice Presidential nominee J.D. Vance on his podcast late last week, but it wasn't the content of the interview that got the internet buzzing - it was the fact that Junior appeared to be on speed. Junior couldn't control his words and was speaking a mile a minute while Vance just sheepishly sat there feeling exceptionally uncomfortable. Rumors are now flying online about what Junior could have been on to behave that way.

And in a filing to Judge Juan Merchan that was made public late last week, prosecutors in New York warn the judge against tossing out the felony convictions of Donald Trump. The issue, obviously, is the Supreme Court's immunity ruling from early July, but prosecutors make a strong case that the ruling in no way applies to this trial or the convictions that have already been secured. The judge will make his final determination on whether to scrap the entire case in early September.

And Donald Trump had an absolute meltdown on Truth Social after FBI Director Christopher Wray said that he wasn't sure if it was a bullet or shrapnel that hit Trump during his rally. Trump claimed that it was a bullet that hit him "hard," and then proceeded to attack both Wray and the entire FBI. But people are asking more and more questions about what happened, and Trump's refusal to release his medical records are only fueling the speculation.

Finally, the past week has not been good for Donald Trump, and insiders are now saying that he is in a "sour mood" due to multiple reasons - but nearly all the reasons revolve around Kamala Harris as his new opponent. Trump is reportedly furious about the fact that her response team is so good at their jobs, and he's angry that she's getting so much media attention. He's also not happy with his own running mate, but he's mostly upset about Harris, which is seen in his late night and early morning rage posts on social media.

Donald Trump, a convicted felon that was found guilty on 34 counts just a few months ago, said during a rally this week that Kamala Harris shouldn't be "allowed" to be president because she is "committing crimes." If Trump believes that committing crimes is a deal breaker, then he should immediately drop out of the race because he's the only major Party candidate with a criminal record.

Also, during an absolutely unhinged segment on Fox News this week, Ted Cruz accused Kamala Harris of trying to take away his car, his foods, and even his gas stove. None of this is true, obviously, but Cruz needed some way to back up his point that Kamala is a member of the "radical left," and since facts didn't fit in he just decided to make stuff up. This is how Republicans run their campaigns - they just lie and hope people are dumb enough to believe them.

And Donald Trump simply cannot stop himself from saying the dumbest things possible. During a rally this week, Trump actually suggested that he would like to have football coaches and NASCAR "coaches" advising the military because, as Trump put it, those guys are really smart at strategy. I'm sure that football coaches wouldn't be as successful with calling plays if the defense had tanks and bombs to fire at the quarterback. But this is the level of stupid that we're dealing with if Trump gets back into office.

Finally, a new nationwide poll has found that Kamala Harris is pulling away 5% of the voters who had previously said they would be voting for Donald Trump. Trump is losing a great deal of support, even if he retains a slight edge in the national polls. The Harris campaign is off to a phenomenal start while Trump's campaign is struggling to control the damage being caused by J.D. Vance.

Donald Trump found out the hard way this week that there are some areas where his cult followers won't fall in line. Trump put out a post on social media offering condolences to a Michigan police officer that was killed in the line of duty. But because the officer's name was "Mohamed", Trump's followers turned against him in the most racist and vile way possible, with some even saying that he's lost their vote.

Also, everyone has been wondering who paid for Rudy Giuliani's first class plane tickets to attend last week's RNC, but MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell finally ended the conversation this week by admitting that he paid the bill. But that wasn't the shocking part. Lindell also admitted that Giuliani has been an employee with his media company since the beginning of the month, which means that the creditors from Giuliani's bankruptcy case were CORRECT when they made accusations that he wasn't being honest about his finances and employment.

And Donald Trump is reportedly having buyer's remorse over his pick of J.D. Vance as his running mate, and it isn't hard to see why. According to the latest polling data, Vance is the first Vice Presidential nominee for ANY party to have a net negative approval rating after being announced as a running mate since 1980 (before Vance was even born.) On top of that, he can't seem to stop himself from saying stupid things and from having his past comments come back to haunt him. Trump really stepped in it this time.

Finally, things are going from bad to worse for Donald Trump, as the newest polling after Biden dropped out of the race shows him LOSING to Kamala Harris by two points. That gap grows even bigger when Kennedy is in the race, increasing Harris's lead to 4 points. The enthusiasm on the Left has increased tremendously - along with fundraising - and Trump doesn't know what to do with himself now that he doesn't have a pushover on the other side of the political aisle.

The terror of going up against Kamala Harris in a general election is apparently keeping Donald Trump up all night, and he's using those sleepless nights to go completely insane on Truth Social. The convicted felon spent the past few nights ranting like a lunatic about Harris, Biden, and even ABC News, letting the world know how panicked he really is about the November election.

Also, according to a new report from The Washington Post, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. held talks with Donald Trump's campaign about the potential for Kennedy to drop out, endorse Trump, and then be guaranteed a place in Trump's administration. This type of discussion is not illegal at all, but it does show us the lengths that both sides are willing to go to in order to get power. So far, that deal has not been made and Kennedy is remaining in the race.

And a white, male MAGA influencer and commentator named Joey Mannarino was caught pretending to be a black woman on Twitter after he forgot to log out of his main account. He accidentally put out a post claiming to be a black woman (with very poor grammar) who said that she will never vote for Kamala Harris, but the post came from Mannarino's regular account, not a burner account. He deleted it quickly, but the screenshots were already taken and sent around the Internet.

Finally, Republican vice presidential nominee J.D. Vance held his first solo rally this week, and it couldn't have gone worse for the young Republican. He attempted to make a joke about how Democrats call everything racist, but the joke only garnered a few light chuckles from the audience, and things just went downhill for Vance from there. He is clearly not ready to be in the national spotlight, and that is going to cost the Trump ticket big time.

Donald Trump has completely lost whatever was left of his mind after President Biden dropped out of the race on Sunday. Trump has gone ballistic on Truth Social accusing Democrats of launching a "coup" against Biden, accusing them of covering up Biden's health, and even demanding he get reimbursed for the money he spent attacking Biden. These are all clear signs that Trump is beyond angry and can't control his emotions, and he's scared to death about what the race could look like now.

Also, from Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson all the way to The Heritage Foundation, conservatives are threatening to sue the Democratic Party after President Biden announced he was leaving the race. These Republicans believe that the Democrats are violating state nominating laws by switching their nominee, but they are completely ignoring the fact that Biden was NOT the "official" nominee of the Party yet. They are desperate to keep Biden on the ballot this year, as Farron explains.

And in a recent interview with The Washington Post, a law professor from The University of North Carolina says that Judge Aileen Cannon engaged in "judicial malpractice" by ignoring the actual law and dismissing Donald Trump's documents case. The appeal is still pending at the 11th Circuit, but legal experts are almost completely in unison agreeing that the appellate court will likely overturn Cannon's decision - and possibly even remove her from the case altogether.

Finally, diehard members of the MAGA cult have started tracking down people who made jokes about Donald Trump being shot, and they are doing everything they can to reveal these peoples' private information. One of the main culprits is the right wing account LibsofTikTok, which already has a long history of turning people on the Left into targets. People are being doxxed and harassed thanks to this new campaign, and we know how things like this usually end.

Donald Trump is obsessed with TV ratings and crowd sizes, and that may explain why he's been silent about the number of people that have watched his RNC convention this week. Ratings for the convention were down by more than 20% compared to the 2016 convention, and things didn't get better throughout the entire week, even though it was Trump's first public appearance since the shooting at his rally on Saturday.

Also, during a podcast appearance this week, Marjorie Taylor Greene went full blown psycho and claimed that Democrats would be "murdering us in the streets" if someone tried to shoot President Biden. Greene is creating fake scenarios in her head and using those to encourage her base to become violent against those of us on the Left, and she knows exactly what she's doing.

And a British journalist managed to set Kari Lake off during the Republican convention this week by doing nothing more than asking for evidence to back up Lake's claims that US elections are being rigged. Not only could Lake NOT provide evidence, but she then began to viciously attack the journalist for being part of the "fake news" and then blamed her for nearly everything that is wrong in America.

Finally, special prosecutor Jack Smith has officially filed an appeal of Judge Aileen Cannon's dismissal of the charges against Donald Trump in the documents case, setting up a showdown at the Appellate Court. Smith, according to legal experts, has all the facts and evidence on his side to prove that his appointment was valid and legal, and Trump's lawyers have nothing more than some suggestions from their friends (which Cannon relied on to make her decision.) This is going to be brutal for Cannon.

During a confrontation at the RNC this week, Matt Gaetz started mocking and attacking Kevin McCarthy as he was speaking to the press. The situation got so tense that one of Gaetz's friends had to pull him away from McCarthy where he then got scolded. The whole situation was caught on camera, and shows what a petulant child Gaetz really is.

Also, during a phone call with Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., Donald Trump can be heard trying to offer a sweetheart deal that could include a cabinet position or an advisory role for Kennedy if he'd be willing to drop out and endorse him. While there's nothing illegal about anything on the call, it does show how scared Trump is of Kennedy siphoning votes away from him.

And Marjorie Taylor Greene went completely ballistic on a reporter from the UK at the RNC convention after the reporter asked her a few simple questions - and to provide evidence of claims that she's made. Greene attacked the reporter, claiming she was what was wrong with this country, not ever realizing that the reporter isn't even from this country (Greene had misunderstood what outlet she was from.) The whole thing was vile and juvenile, as Farron explains.

Finally, Donald Trump is doing everything he can to cash in on the tragedy that took place at his rally on Friday, and a company called CIC Ventures is now selling a $300 pair of "limited edition" sneakers featuring the image of a bloodied Trump from the rally. The so-called "FIGHT, FIGHT, FIGHT" sneakers are from the same company that sold the original gold Trump high tops a few months ago, and it is a company that Trump listed as one of his own in a 2023 financial statement.
