Jason Jackson and Amin Elhassan (filling in for Kirk Morrison) are joined by Kaia Alderson, author of 'In A League Of Her Own'. Kaia's book tells the story of a woman who changed baseball. Effa Manley co-owned her own Negro League baseball team, and she is the only woman ever inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The story follows Manley's acquisition of a Negro Leagues baseball team and how she navigates her way through running the club, dealing with flirtatious players, and dealing with folks who felt a woman's 'place' was at home. Jason and Amin discuss former NBA player Gilbert Arenas' comments toward former NBA player Luol Deng and the South Sudan basketball team following an exhibition game against Team USA ahead of the games in Paris. Gilbert was way off base with his comments, and the guys were glad Gilbert apologized for his comments. The show ends with a discussion on HBCU football programs and how they are approaching this era of NIL & the transfer portal in different ways.

The documentary tells the story of a Florida high school baseball team's battle against itself. Fort Meyers HS baseball players staged a walkout on their own teammates six weeks after an assistant coach sent a text message to the team that included a racial slur. Two federal discrimination lawsuits were filed, including one by former Major League Baseball player Michael Tucker, whose son was on the team. Howard and Nicole share this story using exclusive interviews, cell phone videos, public records and police body cam footage. The documentary can be seen on ESPN's YouTube channel. The show wraps with news that Howard University's The Mecca Society Collective has announced a NIL deal with a Black Owned and operated energy drink company out of Las Vegas. The company, 'Last Shot' will pay Howard athletes in company stock to promote their products and share a portion of sales from their premium drink to help the Mecca Society fund athletics at Howard.

The guys discuss & recap the coverage of the Negro Leagues Tribute game in Birmingham, Alabama. One of the many things that stood out were the stories that came out from former players of the Negro Leagues and players like Reggie Jackson who shared stories about their time playing in Alabama. Reggie also credits his teammates for helping him through that time in the late '60s. Kirk shares a thought from a colleague who attended the game at Rickwood Field and threw out the idea of naming the MLB All-Star Game after Willie Mays. Following that, the guys discuss the many reactions to JJ Redick's hiring as new Lakers head coach, from the initial hiring, introductory news conference, and the thought that folks are upset with JJ getting the job over others who have 'paid their dues'.
