View your mind like traffic that has nothing to do with you. Traffic that's on the other side of the road. The kind of traffic that makes you say, 'whooo! Glad I'm not going that way!" Don't get involved with it. You're not stuck in it. You're simply watching it.

Every time a thought approaches, ask yourself, 'to whom does this thought come?' And pause... listen. The answer is the silence. The mind stops and leaves you in the remembrance, in the recognition that you were never out of Love... you weren't living in the outskirts of the Kingdom. YOU ARE THE KINGDOM. You're Home, in the City of God. And as long as you're feeling Love inside of you, you'll be consciously aware of Love manifest all around you... as you.

Never hold a thought, never drop the Thread.

Watch and listen to your mind. Notice when it's doing what it does. Notice its judgements, criticisms, projections, conclusions. Don't react. Don't respond. Don't try to stop them. Just notice. And then notice what else is present. Listen to the Silence that the thoughts are coming and going in. Feel that Silence... Joy, Love... the Bliss of the Self. When you feel this Bliss, It puts the thoughts on transparency mode (like your noise canceling headphones). Now you're no longer hypnotized by thinking... It's not the only thing you can hear. Now you can also hear the Silence! You can feel the Thread. And It feels good. Don't drop It.

God is speaking to you.

He's always speaking to you.

But the sound of His Voice is silence,

and if you could learn to translate It,

to understand It,

you'd hear Him saying,

"Surrender.

Like a mantra.

reminding you of your purpose in every moment--

to surrender.

You can't just surrender once.

That's not how it works.

You have to surrender in every moment.

When you turn to God,

you are His.

Love.

Surrender looks like Love.

"No eye has seen,

no ear has heard,

and no mind has imagined

what God has prepared for those who love Him." - 1 Corinthians 2:9

"Is Love here, too?"

That's what you ask.

That's what you feel,

right next to the panic.

And you breathe into the panic,

the way you would breathe into labor pains,

and you give birth to God.

You give birth to Love in your world,

into your problems,

into your relationships,

into your business,

into that office.

You have to learn to remain calm.

You have to learn that everything is okay,

even when it looks like it's not.

You have to remember to say,

'Jesus, you take care of it,

I surrender myself to you,

take care of everything,

I love you.'

And then feel His Love.

He Loves you.

I know you've heard that

you've read that

you may even believe It,

but do you feel It?

You HAVE to feel It.

Surrender Novena Day 9 - Father Ruotolo

"Pray always in readiness to surrender, and you will receive from it great peace and great rewards, even when I confer on you the grace of immolation, of repentance and of love. Then what does suffering matter? It seems impossible to you? Close your eyes and say with all your soul, “Jesus, you take care of it”. Do not be afraid, I will take care of things and you will bless my name by humbling yourself. A thousand prayers cannot equal one single act of surrender, remember this well. There is no novena more effective than this:

O Jesus, I surrender myself to you, take care of everything! (10 times)
