  • Banishing Burnout with Janice Litvin | Ep 185
    Jul 24 2024

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Janice Litvin. She says -

We just need to stop and listen to ourselves.

“So a lot of times we just need to stop and listen to ourselves and do a lot of writing, speaking with someone we trust, either our colleague, a partner, or friend, or relative, whoever you can really truly trust. And hopefully someone at your workplace, if you're gainfully employed or someone in your community. And really start talking about what's bothering you and try to get at why and what needs to be done to change it. Because a lot of times the answers are in there.”

Janice is an award winning corporate wellness speaker, on a mission to help leaders and teams banish burnout in their organization. She wants to help as many people as possible take care of their mental health, specifically teaching them to manage stress to prevent burnout.

Janice has developed unique strategies to maximize engagement and workplace wellness and has developed a stress management methodology, which you can find in her workbook “Banish Burnout Toolkit”.

And in the past, Janice has helped Fortune 500 clients and their need for technology talent and those clients included Charles Schwab, Oracle, the Gap, Symantec, Nokia, the United States Army, and so many more.

  • Hidden Leadership Gems with Dr. Gena C. Lovett | Ep 184
    Jul 17 2024

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Dr Gena C Lovett. She says -

When I discovered the power of my village, the load was shared.

“I would ask myself, what is it that I really like doing? What do I like doing? Not so much a worry of, am I good at it, because it's my belief that if you really like something, if you're really passionate about it, you accomplish that, you find a way to do it. And then the other thing, and they've been very helpful for me, is my village. Who is her village? You'd be surprised, and I was that person for many years that had just myself. When I discovered the power of my village, the load was shared. Because let's face it, a lot of times at work, you know, we're doing well. It helps to have that village around you to understand, you know, and keep you grounded, to someone to have your back, someone to tell you the truth. I cannot stress enough the importance of that.”

Dr. Gena C Lovett, PhD is a speaker, executive consultant, and author of the book C Suite Quotient, The 8 C Suite Behaviors That Propel a Leadership Culture.

Gena is a C Suite strategist who empowers executives to unlock their full leadership potential and she has over 25 years in the corporate world. She has led manufacturing operations at the Boeing Company, worked in leadership positions as a Global Chief Diversity Officer at Alcoa and has had key roles at Ford.

Gena has done so many amazing things. And if all that was not enough, she started her own company, Hidden Gems Consulting.

Gena also serves as a trustee on the Board for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum which she says indulges her love of music and meaningful community service impact.

    In this episode we discussed:

    • her 25+ year career with iconic companies like Alcoa and Boeing

    • how important she finds it to always address the culture of a corporate workplace

Whereas, what I know to be true, as women, it's very important that we support one another.”

  • How to Find Your True Power with Rúna Bouius | Ep 178
    Jun 5 2024

True power is when you are literally able to claim your authentic self.

"Start by thinking about what success means to her and whether that is based on expectations from, say, her parents, from her education, from society in general, from her friends, from her, position that she has now claimed, or whether that is coming from a deeper place where the definition of purpose where when she is expressing truly who she is, her authentic self. And I that's what I call true power, when you are literally able to claim your authentic self."

This week’s “How She Finds Purpose” insight comes from Rúna Bouius.

Rúna is an accidental entrepreneur and says of herself ‘this Icelandic trailblazer wasn't always a catalyst for leadership empowerment.’ She crushed it as an entrepreneur and CEO in her native Iceland before ditching the suit for a bigger and more purpose driven mission, which is guiding leaders that become conscious leaders.
