  • S1E1: You're So Vain You Made My Sexual Assault About You
    Jan 13 2021

This episode is to honor victims of sexual assault and survivors of emotional and psychological abuse. My story can be triggering so listener discretion is advised.

In this episode, I share my story of what launched my healing journey. It was a season of toxicity coming to an end followed by a new season of brokenness. I talk about the storm that irrupted after I publicly condemned the man that sexually assaulted me on Instagram, because the man was my ex's best friend.

This is my story of how a tumultuous breakup became the catalyst to my healing journey and pushed me to reveal my identity behind Sincerely Miss Mary, an anonymous pen name I created on Instagram to live journal my emotional abuse and gaslighting I experienced with a narcissistic partner.

When we share our truths, the people not meant to be in our lives leave us, allowing space for us to finally heal.

  • S1E2: The Reckoning of Sincerely Miss Mary
    Jan 13 2021

This episode is to honor victims of sexual assault and survivors of emotional and psychological abuse. My story can be triggering so listener discretion is advised.

In this episode, I tell you the origin story of my pen name persona, Sincerely Miss Mary. She was created during a season of depression and in the midst of the gaslighting and victim-blaming, I endured after confronting my partner about his predatory friend.

My pen name persona pulled me out of denial and gave me the strength to stand up for myself. Victim blaming and victim-shaming are insidious acts from those who are incapable of working on themselves.

If you have experienced this please know you had every right to speak up and tell your story. I stand with you.

  • S1E3: The Blessing of Rejection
    Jan 20 2021

This episode is to honor victims of sexual assault and survivors of emotional and psychological abuse. My story can be triggering so listener discretion is advised.

In this episode, I talk about the rejection I faced from my partner’s friends and family who knew the man that sexually assaulted me. As painful as this experience was, I now see it as a blessing in disguise. I was being protected from people who are part of a toxic system that perpetuates the culture where victims of sexual assault remain unsafe and unprotected. If you have ever experienced this type of rejection from speaking out against your perpetrator, please know you didn’t deserve it, I believe you and I stand with you.

  • S1E4: Rejection Happens For You, Not To You
    Jan 28 2021

I share how I reframed rejection as happening for me instead of to me.

I will be walking you through the way I reframed my mindset to overcome the most traumatic rejection I faced after publicly condemning the man that sexually assaulted me.

I take you through my thought process from what I’ve learned in cognitive behavioral therapy. If you’re not familiar with CBT, it is a type of therapy that guides you to reframe your mindset and helps you control the only thing you can. Which are your thoughts and your response. The power is always within the way we choose to view things.

As a disclaimer, I am not a mental health professional or a certified life coach. I am only speaking from my experience and what I’ve learned from these healing modalities from a mental health professional. I hope this episode can help you reframe the pain that comes with rejection, but as always, take my advice at your discretion.

  • S1E5: Now You Can Dream Again
    Feb 3 2021

This episode is to honor victims of sexual assault and survivors of emotional and psychological abuse. My story can be triggering, so listener discretion is advised.

This episode is a continuation of my story from the aftermath condemning my partner’s best friend for sexually assaulting me (Episode 1-3).

I talk about how an inspiring pep talk with a dear friend empowered me to move forward by reminding me to dream of a better future without my partner. We often do not find people to hold space for us post-breakup. Many people project their fears of being alone onto us. What's important to remember is that those who go through a breakup or divorce should not be pitied. Rather they should be inspired and encouraged to move towards a life of new dreams and to reach their potential.

  • S1E7: To the Karen of My Life — Your Silence is Loud
    Feb 19 2021

This episode is to honor survivors of sexual assault. My story can be triggering so listener discretion is advised.

In this episode, I share a story about the Karen of my life. She is a woman, in my ex’s inner circle, who chose to turn her back on me after I condemned her friend for sexually assaulting me.

I talk about how silence and complicity keep the toxic culture alive of letting men get away with sexual assault. It is so important for women to support women, believe in women, and stand with women…the Karen of my life turned her back on me...she represents someone who contributes to the problem instead of the solution of misogyny, victim-blaming, and systemic racism.

With the recent events of Asian hate crimes and Evan Rachel Wood speaking up against her abuser, Marilyn Manson, I knew this was an important story to share, in hopes to help anyone going through this feel less alone.

If you have ever been victim-blamed or faced silence and complicity from the people in your life who knew your abuser, please know, you did nothing wrong, and you didn’t deserve it.
