"Rare Whale Ballet" and other poems by Lila Cutter. Lila’s writing has an almost water-like quality. It slides and splashes, it bends without breaking, and it crystalizes into some sort of mirror. Lila is an MFA student in poetry at Oregon State University with a background in equitable arts education. Her poetry often centers on perceptions of femininity, matrilineal connections, and the physical and psychic landscape of her home state of Iowa.
