  • Mediocre? We don't know her! Welcome to the home of HELL YES Style. This is the place for real, deep and honest conversation about style you've been searching for. Join Samantha Harman, aka the Style Editor and guests for conversations on money, mindset and vibey AF style... because your wardrobe isn't just *clothes* - it's the physical manifestation of your beliefs. And conversations that delve into the nuance of your relationship with your clothes just aren't happening like this anywhere else. From the practical stuff like 'how the hell to know when it's time to clear out your closet' to the personal, raw and honest discussion about womanhood, money and being a female leader when that's still relatively new - if you're a female founder or woman in business, this is your new home for style advice. Having been a newspaper editor in a male-dominated industry, Samantha used her wardrobe as a tool for confidence and branding and bagged four promotions in 5 years. But expressing herself through her wardrobe had an interesting side-effect; other women in business began asking for her help with what the wear for work. Samantha realised that there was a huge gap in conversation about women and work - what the hell to wear. She launched her personal styling business in 2021 and has helped women in business get promoted, publish books, speak on stages and scale their companies. • 3 - That's Not A Business! 5 things to stop doing to move out of 'hobby' energy
    Sep 2 2024

    That's not a business…

How many times have you thought this about what you do?

Or the thing you really want to do?

I used to think that too.

I put myself off launching this business for agessss....

Because despite having plenty of evidence people wanted my help...

I chose instead to believe the naysayers.

I let the ideas of what a *business* looks like get in my head.

I forgot that the old ways of doing business... don't necessarily work.

I was trying to apply principles of a traditional business built by privileged rich white men in the 1960s to something for a one-woman show in 2024.

In this episode: the 5 things to stop if you want to move from 'hobby' energy into full-blown business energy.

That's Not A Business is now open for enrollment.

This mastermind is for you if:

    • you're in an established industry (like accounting, for example) and you're struggling to differentiate yourself from the pack.
    • You run your business 'how it's always been done' by the rest, charging what they charge and creating packages based on the same old same old... You don't feel like anyone's first choice, but like one of many options they choose because you're either closer in proximity or cheaper
    • you're in an industry that's relatively 'new' and you're struggling to see how it's viable as a business. You struggle to get clients from social media, and if someone asks you to explain what you do, you flounder.

    You'll learn:

    • Why your problem isn't actually ‘that’s the way it's always been done' and how to move out of thought loops keeping you stuck
    • Why your content isn't bringing in sales and how to solve it like, yesterday
    • Why it doesn't matter if your market it ‘oversaturated’ and how to become a market of one for dream clients who will absolutely pay your rates
    • Why ‘the slow economy’ doesn't actually have as much power as you're giving it and how to fix the thing much closer to home that's keeping your DMs as dry as a desert
