A sleepless Mitch Bryant finds himself at a crossroad and must make a decision that will change his and his family's life.

A stop by police has an unexpected twist as Mitch’s pride forces a confrontation with his brother-in-law. The fight to balance the need for money and his family’s health leaves Mitch and Karin at odds.

Mitch’s crushing aversion in asking for help escalates into an argument between he and his wife.  When pressed as to how he got food from the church’s food pantry, he admits he created a cover story about a neighbor in need.  The argument in a car over his dishonesty and fears is halted when a police car rolls up and pulls them over.
